I bought this some time ago so that I could connect my network to both of my ISPs (Shaw and Telus), together seamlessly and without a lot of headaches setting up some sort of PC-based router. It has been working well, though it does have a few idiosyncrasies.
Pros:
  • WAN selection based on response time
  • IP connection persistence and application persistence (I take the latter to mean protocol
  • 3 VLAN configurations (isolates 0
  • 1 or 2 LAN ports from the other(s)
  • LAN port mirroring
  • Firewall can filter by IP
  • MAC address
  • and domain
  • ICMP
  • UDP and TCP DOS attack
Cons:
  • Terrible English translations on some configuration pages
  • Dynamic DNS automatic update  function does not work
  • LAN ports are 10/100
  • not gigabit
  • Pointless serial port on the front panel (come on
  • it's the 20th century already

Jury still out on this great value

I have been using this for about a month now. I seem to have to reboot every couple of days. I have this connected to two cable modems and then a wireless access point. All the devices in the network are wireless. I have anywhere from 2 to 5 to 11 15 devices on the network at any given time.

Better than any consumer router!

I was having issues with my Asus N64 router at home. We had 10 devices connected and it slowed right down and was sometimes barely usable. I decided to take a look at enterprise router and thought this one looked good so I went for it.

Excellent.

Excellent - we've plugged both routers in to it and it levels the internet equally throughout the office we've also noticed a marked improvement in speed. With the added advantage of when one of the routers goes down it re-balances so we still get juice. 5 star!
