The TP-Link Deco M5 was the first WiFi system released by the Shenzhen-based company in an attempt to join the then-already established group of systems, which included the the Linksys Velop , the Google WiFi and the Netgear Orbi .

MESH wifi was about the only option for seamless wifi in our brick century home. Our previous single point wifi solutions would not cover most of rear addition or second floor. This is a great product. It creates a strong wifi signal in our house. As you need one unit to sit with existing wifi router, you really only have two units to place in dead zones around your home. Highly reccommended.

i had a few initial issues setting up but that was more of a me issue than a product issue, once set up its been great! my original router didnt give much coverage, i have a 1971 2 bedroom solid brick unit and the coverage would drop even in the spare room and especially if you walked outside or into the attached garage. plus with my old router i would have to manually switch from 5 to 2.4ghz network to use apps to control things like smart bulbs or led strips, now its all on 1 network and i can just click on my app and it works seamlessly. im really glad i purchased it. just remember if you have stuff connected wirelessly like your printer or tv etc youll have to redo the connection as youre setting up a whole new network- this is what can take some time.

Great coverage

This is an easy produce to install which gives house wide coverage. I had previously tried to use a wifi extender to fix poor coverage spots in the house. It was hard to install and I could never get it to work.

The product is working fine. However I noticed it is made in China. I expect the Good Guys and other Australian businesses to take tangible steps to source products from other countries and my support for businesses will depend on this.

Excellent performance for homes and offices

The kit is excellent and covers a 260sqm single storey house. It is easy to set up. You really don't need any specialist install unless you have very limited computer skills. Anyone can set this thing up. I have had it for a few months and it solved all my coverage issues. The trick is also to turn the original modem/router Wi-Fi off and let the Deco take care of that part. The major advantage is that if you have a large back yard or front yard or an area outside that needs coverage, it is super simple to add an outdoor unit of the same brand to extend the coverage. And keep adding. Super good and excellent value !
