I was able to use the wireless bridge mode for this and it was easy to setup

Lot's of configurations available for this router. Just using the basic setup alone is more than enough to boost our wifi at home. I was able to use the wireless bridge mode for this and it was easy to setup. However due my old wifi modem being weak, the connection was breaking up.

Constant problems

I've had two of these it for year and a half, nothing but problems: they hang, internet stops working, speeds drop to a crawl, etc. Usually fixed by daily reboots. Tried to set up a wireless bridge with two of these, messed around with configuration a lot, did not find a stable configuration.

Much better.

I have a Roku Smart TV and it seemed to buffer all the time. My son started playing on the WII and it seemed the buffering started around the time he spent playing the online games. After reading various articles on the internet, I decided to try a dual band router.

good budget router for entering the dualband world

I really like this router, of course there is some sacrifices by the price you pay, namely the wired ports are 10/100M and the USB is 2.0, but this is clearly stated in the specs section (at least in newegg) so no surprises there unless you don't pay attention.

Good and easy web interface for setting up

-Non detachable antennas

This was an upgrade to my home Wi-Fi. Once I went through the help files it was quite easy to set up and connect to 2 range extenders as we live in an old property with thick walls The Wi-Fi speed is impressive with both movies and iPlayer

A replacement that I should have purchased first

I actually got this router as an exchange for a more popular brand name, won't get into details but the routers cost the same at the time. I really like the TP LINK router because my original purchase I was looking for VPN support which the previous claimed but didn't actually support.
