The latest hardware version is 4. The TP-LINK support website only shows the App available against the V4 hardware. If this is important to you then ensure you get version 4 (and not V3) . This can be determined on the sticky label of the box after the model name.

I've tried these in numerous outlets and I haven't been able to get the same speeds as the router WiFi. Going from downstairs to upstairs the signal has to go through the fusebox between circuits, which is never good with these extenders.

Does not work for me...total waste of money. It appears that for it to possibly work, it both units must be plugged in to the same electrical circuit....who has a circuit that has outlets on opposite sides of the house

I brought this home, followed the directions and had full speed (70mgb) using lan cable and dropped to 55mgb using wireless. This solved my problem of no wifi signal in parts of my house. House is built with cement block walls inside and out.

Only really works on the same circuit, which is typically same room only. Why do I need 2 wifi signals in the sAme room Waste of my time

This works perfectly. Like magic. Wired is 10x faster. Wifi is 5x faster. If available, get the 3-pack so you can have solid wifi on every floor.

Bought this item 2 weeks ago and does exactly what it says I use it on a console and have good download speed would highly recommend it

This is an excellent product that is a breeze to set up and which provides excellent throughput and coverage. The only downside is that extra wireless access points can't be bought separately.

Just isn't consistant and constantly having to deal with trying to get it back working. At this point it isn't working at all, this has been the issue the whole time.

The ability to use both Wifi and the network socket meant that I could plug my PC into the unit and still be able to access the...
