Supreme Commander 2 Angles to Be Number 1

We are gathered today to remember Supreme Commander , born in 1997 under the name Total Annihilation . This enfant terrible of the RTS world bucked the trend of Command & Conquer and WarCraft clones to provide something sprawling, meticulous, and without much personality.

you like strategy games; originization and micro-managing

you don't like large scale battles; futuristic settings or menu

Supreme Commander 2 Review

The legacy of giant armies of robots continues with Supreme Commander 2. The game introduces some surprising changes in comparison to the original, but is still just as great. More accessibility and huge everything, this real-time strategy game is as exciting as it is tactical.

Refined; playable; and customizable armies of giant robots; Looks great; sounds great; and offers up huge battlefields; Superb online play

Pathfinding and AI issues; Graphics are actually downgraded from the original; Diehard fans of the first game might not like the simplification

Supreme Commander 2

I love strategy games, but sadly I'm a so-called "turtle"; I love building up my forces, but I hate to send them into battle. Most games have a tendency to punish you for this kind of behavior. Fortunately, Supreme Commander 2 isn't like most games.

The original Supreme Commander made waves on the PC, but on the Xbox 360, it barely managed a ripple. Bad bugs and abysmal engine performance overshadowed the satisfying and complex strategizing and made the game excruciating to play.

Big maps lead to battles spanning multiple fronts; It's fun to unleash experimental units and watch them wreak havoc; The campaign is excellently paced and gets you invested

Lots of pathfinding irritations; Predictable AI doesn't put up a fight; Major sound issues

From Giant to Dwarf… Without a doubt, fans of Supcom would expect to find a game of similar scale, scope and options with its predecessor. Unfortunately, the first thing that strikes you with SupCom2 is that this is not the case.

Unit command interface; performance and stability

Small scale; uninspiring plot; bad graphics and sound; departure from the original formula

Supreme Commander 2 Review

A good game for beginners in the strategy genre, but for a title from someone of Chris Taylor's background, you can't help but feel a little underwhelmed. Supreme Commander 2 should have been the game that really offered us a challenge, however, we never found it.

Supreme Commander 2

While real-time strategy games and console systems have a reputation of mixing as well together as oil and water, Supreme Commander 2 proves that the combination can work if done right.

Supreme Commander 2 Review

Many PC gamers look down their nose at console games, especially so when some of their beloved titles make the transition there. While the likes of first person shooters remain sublimely playable with two sticks and a bunch of buttons, bringing across the likes of strategy games isn't always so...

Supreme Commander 2

As far as real-time strategy games on consoles are concerned, Supreme Commander 2 is a relatively fun affair. The simplified resource and upgrade management creates a more accessible experience for those typically intimidated by games of this genre.
