Supreme Commander 2 Review

Supreme Commander 2 is a strategy game that plays very well for the casual market, but may turn off the hardcore fans of the original title. However, make no mistake that this is still a fun game with enough depth to be worthy of your time.

"Lacking the speed of the PC version but still has the same BANG"

I've played both the PC and Xbox versions, although both are very good games I would have to recommend the PC version over the Xbox if you had a choice. Both games have a very easy control system but the Xbox requires a little more concentration and doesn't allow for as much free roaming and overall...

Supreme Commander 2

While real-time strategy games and console systems have a reputation of mixing as well together as oil and water, Supreme Commander 2 proves that the combination can work if done right.

Supreme Commander 2

I love strategy games, but sadly I'm a so-called "turtle"; I love building up my forces, but I hate to send them into battle. Most games have a tendency to punish you for this kind of behavior. Fortunately, Supreme Commander 2 isn't like most games.

Great

Good game

The original Supreme Commander made waves on the PC, but on the Xbox 360, it barely managed a ripple. Bad bugs and abysmal engine performance overshadowed the satisfying and complex strategizing and made the game excruciating to play.

Big maps lead to battles spanning multiple fronts; It's fun to unleash experimental units and watch them wreak havoc; The campaign is excellently paced and gets you invested

Lots of pathfinding irritations; Predictable AI doesn't put up a fight; Major sound issues

Supreme Commander 2 Review

The legacy of giant armies of robots continues with Supreme Commander 2. The game introduces some surprising changes in comparison to the original, but is still just as great. More accessibility and huge everything, this real-time strategy game is as exciting as it is tactical.

Refined; playable; and customizable armies of giant robots; Looks great; sounds great; and offers up huge battlefields; Superb online play

Pathfinding and AI issues; Graphics are actually downgraded from the original; Diehard fans of the first game might not like the simplification

Supreme Commander 2

Chris Taylor is a name known greatly to me. It's not just because it's my own name but because I grew up playing titles such as Total Annihilation and Dungeon Siege. Chris is a pretty influential guy in the gaming industry and there's good reason for this.

Controls are great for a console RTS; A lot simpler than most other RTSs; Online is a lot of fun

No variety to anything; Doesn't look good at all; AI is terrible

Real Time Stra--.....Hey! Where's the strategy?

To be brutally honest this game is a shameless rip off of Total Annhilation, but with about half the choice of units and maps. The graphics, as expected nowadays, are pretty cool and detailed. There are some nice details on the shield generators and the bigger experimental units.

Horrible on console

Just don't buy on console, game does play fine on PC, funny since this game was so dumbed down for the consoles.

......

Its to hard to play with a controller in my opinion; Game uses similar control system as Halo Wars but for some reason it fails horribly
