Steelseries Apex 3 Gaming Keyboard (US) APEX 3 review
Ultimately, the SteelSeries Apex 3 is a straightforward and well-built peripheral. Its membrane build means its not going to give the audible response and feedback per key press, but those looking for a more silent board will probably enjoy that.
Pros:
- Quiet, yet responsive key presses & feedback, Excellent customization options for RBG lighting & keybindings, Water-resistant & easy to clean, Feels durable, yet comfortable for both work & gaming
Cons:
- RGB lighting isn't as good as on other SteelSeries budget devices, Large gaps in raised keys allow for dust and particles, Multimedia button less practical than it could be

SteelSeries’ new budget-minded keyboard boasts some impressive features, even if they come with a few concessions. However, a lack of mechanical switches can’t keep us from whole-heartedly recommending the Apex 3.

- Affordable, Great RGB lighting
Cons:
- No mechanical switches, No USB passthrough

Writing an entire article on the Apex 3 was a really easy task thanks to the higher actuation point and we did not make any mistakes like on the regular high-speed gaming-only keyboards.

Cheap, and not nasty!
Good value for money, the only quirk is the the shift characters like @#$% are on the bottom of the keys ... for the older brain, that can take a little getting used too, or it's just quirky and kewl!! The back lighting is very basic, so if that is important, spend more, go up the food chain. Great touch, compact footprint, cable routing options are well thought out. I like it.

Looks and feels great, has cool color options within the steel series software. Does exactly what it states in the description. Very happy with this purchase.

Typically, when reviewing budget hardware such as this, we need to constantly remind ourselves of the price and why certain features are missing or performance is lacking. The Apex 3 is the exception to that rule. What a keyboard SteelSeries have made here. First off, build quality.
Pros:
- Incredible performance for the money, Rubber dome keys feel really nice, RGB lighting, Media controls, Including wrist rest, Good build quality, Great SteelSeries Engine 3 software
Cons:
- Software lacks preset RGB lighting effects, Delay on the play/pause button

Really good keyboard for cheap.
Quiet for a gaming keyboard. Very simple yet efficient design. Very nice cheap gaming RGB keyboard
