Several years ago, my siblings and I spent hours on our PlayStation 2 playing a game called Star Wars: Battlefront II. The game was a perfect culmination of two things we loved: Star Wars and video games. It was easily one of our favorite games based on a popular franchise.

New online and offline features that make the game more whole than its predecessor; characters and worlds from the Prequel and Sequel Trilogies are featured; level up system keeps things balanced for new players; graphics continue to look amazing

Physics are a little floaty; requires paid services for the majority of features (consoles only); lots of data needed to play

A PlayStation Plus account is necessary to use all features. The digital bonus items are a tiny advantage when beginning online play. Split screen in arcade mode is cool allowing 2 people to play together offline. Leveling up is a grind that is why it's 3 stars instead of 4.

The kids love it!

This game does it. It has everything you want as a star wars fan. But the loot crates and daily logins just isn't right. Graphics are great, the sounds are great and battles are great. But I hate loot crates and that's why I gave it 4 stars.

Alright, keeping this short: The designers took away...the FUN, the choices (fixed hands and non-adaptable configurations), and the good radar (ii's radar is insanely awful, can SEE on-screen before radar picks up??!).

Purchased for grandkids. Great addition for their game room!

Superb graphics and amazing attention to Star Wars detail; Starfighter Assault is excellent and the story mode is a good effort; Plenty of game modes

Mediocre gunplay in the first person modes and Starfighter Assault doesn't have enough content; No ability to select maps in multiplayer

Loving the gameplay on this. It's reputation has been tarnished by the loot box scandal but the game itself is great fun. Campaign is easy and fairly formulaic. The graphics are excellent and gameplay is smooth.

Star Wars is one of those epic franchises that has a devoted following for a good reason. Considering that the series has lasted longer than many gamers have been alive, you can't deny that this galaxy far far away has some serious staying power.

Beautifully rendered planets; Solid campaign; Plethora of multiplayer modes

Progression system weighs game down; Some poor enemy models; microtransaction issue still unresolved

This game simulates epic battles across the entire Star Wars saga, with graphics, sound and grameplay that would have you scratching your head and wondering if you're watching one of the movies. It is an incredibly fun romp across the galaxy.
