As a first review I decided to tackle a personal favorite of mine from 2012, Spec Ops: The Line. In case you haven't played it yet or read anything about this game, there will be mild spoilers in this review, in particular a scene roughly halfway through the game. Consider this a warning.

An immense sandstorm rocked the gorgeous Middle Eastern city of Dubai. The event was so catastrophic that members of a battalion, the "Damned 33rd," on their home from Afghanistan decided to aid in relief efforts. Unfortunately, to no avail...

Great Story and Characters; Fantastic setting with outstanding art direction

If you like Call of Duty games Get This for the Price there giving it away. Not as Great as Battlefield but it's only 9$ not 60$.

The game has very good Graphics and the AI is very good for the price the game is a Bargain; It has very good weapons and the story line is very good; Not the Best game but a Steal at 9 $.

I really can't give it any it's long.; good weapons good graphics good story line very fun to play.

Spec Ops: The Line is unabashed in its Heart of Darkness influences. Joseph Conrad's classic journey upriver through the Congo, and later Vietnam and Cambodia in Apocalypse Now , replaced with the golden sand dunes of a desolate Dubai.

Spec Ops: The Line is a difficult game to judge. In many ways it is a remarkable examination of the military shooter genre and yet in other ways it panders to the same conventions it attempts to scrutinise.

The shooter genre, whether it's first or third person, has become one of the most boring ones in the gaming industry, yet, as a complete paradox, it's still one of the most profitable.
