Sadly, the Xperia Z's pokey imaging system and short battery life can't stand up to the likes of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, both sold by T-Mobile for the same up-front price. Those competing gadgets add up to better buys, that is unless you absolutely must have a water- and dust-resistant smartphone.

I have a previous review with quite a bit of praise of the phone; I loved every bit of it while it worked with the only complaint being the camera compresses the 13mp a lot
construction is not made to last, the phone runs pretty hot and it has managed to make the glue holding the back glass detach in under 3 months, and now there's a large gap leading right to the phone's internals; the water resistance is gone entirely.
