Sony Xperia XZ2 H8296 6GB 64GB
The Sony Xperia XZ2 (H8296) is the just-released phone from Sony, and its big on display, performance and photographic quality.
A Big, Bold Display
The display on the Sony Xperia XZ2 is clear and easy to read, with a 5.7-inch IPS LCD touch display and top-notch screen resolution: 1080 x 2160p with 424ppi pixel density.
A Top Performer
The Sony Xperia XZ2 promises powerful multimedia, gaming and graphics performance, certainly the equal of many of the top smartphones on the market. This is made possible by a winning combination of Sony Triluminos and X-Reality Engine tech, and built-in Adreno 630 GPU and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
Feature Packed Cameras
Like any premium model, the X72 has a lot to live up to in the camera department and it doesn't disappoint with a powerful blend of quality cameras front and rear. The rear Motion Eye camera is a stunner, boasting a 19 MP sensor with predictive phase detection and Electronic Image Stabilization, particularly good for recording high-quality 4K video.
Sensational S-Force Sound
The Sony Xperia XZ2 doesn't just look good - it sounds good too! In this day and age when we're creating mini-movies on our smartphones, we need great audio to partner with the footage we shoot. The S-Force Front Surround stereo speakers on the Sony Xperia XZ2 deliver exceptional audio, certainly some of the best you'll hear in any smartphone.
Quick Charge Battery
The 3,180 mAh battery is big enough to provide ongoing use and can be quickly topped up with Quick Charge 3.0.

Sony Xperia XZ2 review
We waited so long for Sony to bring a new design and although the firm has switched to an 18:9 screen, we're miffed by the chunky and heavy design that has a fingerprint scanner and power button in awkward places. And dropped the headphone jack!
Amazing phone. Very fast. Great screen and great speakers. The only complaint is about the finger sensor location, really hard to reach. At this price its a must for a non-Chinese phone.
Seems good Except...
I just got this phone today. It seems to run fine. I quite like it. Once small problem... I don't know if it's this specific phone or all of them but the audio has some small clicks occasionally there also seems like there is some form of low pass filter taking out some high frequencies. This also...
Sony Xperia XZ2 review: A decent flagship housed in a questionable design
While a handful of OEMs come to mind when talking about smartphones, there are plenty of other big-name companies that often get lost in the shuffle. Our Sony Xperia XZ2 review takes a look at one of the newest smartphones from the company which boasts a new design and a new advanced Motion Eye...- Crisp
- clear FHD+ display
- Solid sound
- Great camera in well lit situations
- Easy to remove SIM/microSD card tray
- Decent performance
- All day battery life
- Super slow motion video fun
- Rounded glossy back slippery
- Easy to remove SIM/microSD card tray
- Still stuck on Android 8.0.0
Great phone
Takes great photos, the battery life is really good. Fast processing.
Absolutely brilliant phone! Poor quality control from Sony/Amazon
Upgraded to this from a Z5 and though I was concerned about the curved back and extra thickness, once you have it in your hand it is much more comfortable to hold than the Z5. The performance is very fast and the camera is a great improvement over previous Xperias especially in low light conditions.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 is the absolute best Sony phone I've had. It has great sound that sounds great when listening to music or watching YouTube clips. It has a really good camera with superslow motion feature that is preferred when you want to take dramatic clips on rain or fire.
Sony Xperia XZ2 review: Different but not quite better
The Sony Xperia XZ2 is a good phone but, for the price and compared to the competition, it’s difficult to really call it good enough to make the case for choosing it over the other options. As we noted in our recent review of the Sony Xperia XA2, the arrival of the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact see Sony Mobile switch up their approach to aesthetics in a pretty significant way. Gone are the days of the company’s blockish OmniBalance design logic.- Great design and feel-factor
- Dynamic vibration
- Lackluster camera
- Software is still a weakness
Sony XPERIA XZ2 Review
The Sony XPERIA XZ2 marks a shift with a fresh new curved design from Sony. Launched in Barcelona during MWC 2018, this phone is now available in the U.S, and it has a few tricks up its sleeves.
A few months ago, we reviewed the Sony Xperia XZ1 a few weeks before its successor was due to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. While the XZ1 was released on the shores of South Africa quite late into the game, it was, in fact, a 2017 release, thus making the Sony Xperia XZ2 the...
