Xperia XZ Premium Review: Insane 4K Display Can't Save This Sony
Sony's televisions and game consoles are incredibly popular, but its smartphones? Not so much. So the company went back to the drawing board with this year's model. The result, the $800 Xperia XZ Premium, combines the best of Sony's Bravia TVs and its PlayStation console.

- Bright screen shows off lots of colors accurately
- Solid front- and rear-facing cameras

Cons:
- 4K content is limited at this stage

What defines a premium product? To my mind, it's the added benefit or advantage of something that you wouldn't be able to obtain at a lower price. An example might be the $4,000 Focal Utopia headphones with beryllium drivers, whose sound is hard to rival and unobtainable without that extremely rigid...

Love this phone. Everything works smoothly. Interface for Spotify is awesome. Battery life is fantastic. I feel that I'm a pretty heavy user (music for most of the day, Youtube, Netflix, and occasional games)and my battery lasts well over 24 hours, and this is without using stamina mode!

Things get tricky when you start reviewing a flagship smartphone. Testing the limits of cutting edge technology is not as easy as it may seem, and when you're creating that offbeat technology, all of that difficulty multiplies a hundred times.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium goes all in with features that the company dabbled in with recent offerings, making it a worthy consideration for anyone that is willing to overlook the lack of a fingerprint reader and basically non-existent carrier availability in the States.
