Sony Xperia Go (video)
As a ruggedised smartphone laying claim to highest level of dust and water resistance in a smartphone, we really put the Sony Xperia Go through its paces, and though it's certainly a compact and durable smartphone with top specifications, we're not too convinced by its waterproofing.

At first glance Sony's new Xperia Go handset looks svelte, sleek – and delicate. But as we spent some time with the Android handset we realized that it might just be one of the most durable smartphones in the market right now.

Sony Xperia Go
At the end of our today's analysis, it appears to us that Sony's Xperia Go is not an excellent rugged phone. But it sure doesn't suck, either. It's somewhere in between, with good protection against sand and water and good performance.

I purchased the Xpedia GO soon after it came out. It is actually quite a nice little phone (especially as a second phone), however, it has a MAJOR design fault. Do NOT EVER try and use a MICRO SIM with a "caddy" (the normal way you use a "micro" sim on any other phone.
Pros:
- It's waterproof
Cons:
- SONY !!! I wouldn't buy another Sony on the basis of their awful Customer Service !!

"Well the Xperia Go is certainly a disappointment and deffo doesn't warrant a £200 price point. It feels very cheap in the hand and it's finished in some matt effect plastic which picks up mark like a magnet and instantly looks like a worn handset.

- Sturdy handset that survives more than the usual wear and tear
- waterproof
- decent camera
Cons:
- Bloatware
- outdated Android 2.3 operating system
- unattractive

The Sony Xperia Go is quite the looker, and under the bonnet it's packing all the right hardware: it's simply an added bonus that the whole affair is water and dust resistant. However, unless you're spectacularly butterfingered or work on an oil rig, it's hard to recommend over rivals: running...
