At the moment. The only direct competitor in the 4k space in terms of bright room performance in the Samsung QN90A, which arguably has better brightness and more dimming zones, but Sony x95J has better colours and processing, (and a couple other little things like better quality control on stuff like dirty screen effect, etc) which to me was more important, which is why I bought this one. The way colours have this warm, vibrant POP on this when you feed it good content. Is honestly something to behold. Absolute bleeding edge, top of the line. It also has Dolby Vision support unlike the Samsung, which is the wider supported (and better) dynamic HDR format. The other options in this price space are arguably 8k (on special) and OLED. Which. For me, both had drawbacks. It's hard to even get decent 4k content outside of specifically made HDR demo's, let alone 8k content. Even brand new movies will largely suffer compression on streaming services, and will be limited by the content source 'n...
