Sony Walkman NWZ- E436F
The Sony Walkman branding has, in my opinion, stood for music quality for a very long time now. While I haven't really got too many complaints about the audio quality of the mobile handsets that bear that name or the PMPs/DAPs, sometimes the product as a whole fails to impress.

Gift for my daughter
She's still using it five years later. It's easy to use and very compact. I can't imagine they're still available, but Sony's a good buy. Who needs them with smart phones, well, low techies like me and my family.

This was an excellent choice for our daughter's birthday gift!
This was an excellent choice for our 7 year old's first MP3 player! It has a battery life that is nothing short of amazing! Beautifully easy playback! It is very easy to add new music, and the built in FM radio is an awesome extra!

Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F 4GB
Just last year it was hard to believe that Sony's Walkman brand had ever had the same cachet as Apple's iPod. Shackled by proprietary standards and wretched software, Sony's digital music players couldn't compete no matter how good the sound quality or attractive the styling was.

Brilliant product
Sony Walkman 8GB I used to have an iPod and I have to admit I loved it at the time. Sadly it wasn't built to last and died for no apparent reason about a month after the warranty wore off. This not only happened to me but also a whole bunch of friends and family who also had iPods.

An awesome MP4 device with video, awesome sound quality and FM Radio connection is fab with virtually no connection problems. The only problem is that the device is never truly shut off, meaning the battery is constantly draining.
Pros:
- FM Radio
- AWESOME sound quality
- comfortable
- sleek and attractive design
- video
Cons:
- Screen size makes video viewing tedious
- having a photo app is kind of pointless due to small screen
- the device never fully turns off resulting in battery draining quick

Sony E-Series Walkman
It can't be avoided: any new MP3 player is in direct competition with the Apple iPod , and device manufacturers are well aware of this fact. Some pack their players with boatloads of extras, while others create unique and purportedly useful design elements.
Pros:
- The Sony E-Series Walkman is very competitively priced and features a compact design with a nice, bright screen
- It's easy to use and offers a variety of desirable extras, such as an FM tuner, a user-customizable EQ, and support for Rhapsody To Go and Amazon Video On Demand.
Cons:
- The Sony E-Series Walkman tops out at 8GB and doesn't offer memory expansion
- There's no integrated podcast support, and subscription-content syncing is slow

Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F
A fairly impressive portable media player, the Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F doesn't do anything incredible and it has a few niggling issues but its combination of good quality video playback and intuitive interface make it a viable choice.
Pros:
- Intuitive menu
- slim design
- good LCD screen
Cons:
- Cannot record from radio
- can't make playlists on the unit itself
- no voice recorder
