Pros:
- The best noise-canceling performance
- incredibly comfortable to wear
- and now easy to pair with and switch between two devices.
Cons:
- Touch controls work but are a little to easy to accidentally activate.

Sony WH-1000XM4 review: The best just got better
The 1000X series of headphones win awards year-on-year and that trend is likely to continue. The WH-1000XM4 wireless ANC over-ear headphones bring one word to mind - superb. With an enhanced feature set that makes many rivals look stone age, these over-ears provide excellent audio playback even with noise-cancelling turned up to the max. The best truly have got even better.
Pros:
- Superb music playback with noise-cancelling on or off
- Great battery life and fast-charge capabilities
- Packed full of useful features
- Very comfortable to wear
Cons:
- Not worth upgrading if you already have the XM3
- No aptX or aptX HD support

Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black WH1000XM4B review
Sony has been making noise-canceling headphones for years, and it's gotten pretty good at it. We had very few complaints about Sony's WH-1000XM3 headphones , so there wasn't much to fix in the latest iteration.
Pros:
- Audio quality You'd be hard-pressed to find Bluetooth headphones that sound better
- Battery 30 hours of use with ANC on is more than enough
- Improved ANC Sony's improved noise canceling is very effective
- Controls The large touchpads work great, and the Quick Attention feature is handy.
Cons:
- Codecs No AptX, which is desirable for some devices. LDAC doesn't work with certain features enabled
- Design No design changes to speak of, still no water protection
- Speak to chat Too apt to pause your music even on lower sensitivity settings.

Despite having a ton of features, and still reigning king in noise-cancellation technology, I’m still not very into this line as much as some people are. The signature doesn’t impress me when comparing it to other wireless headphones like the or Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC.

To be honest, I wouldn’t have wanted to be in the shoes of Sony’s engineers and product developers, as they set about trying to improve on the already excellent Sony WH-1000XM3.
