Sony WH-1000XM3

Sony promise more sound and less noise in these awesome WH-1000XM3 headphones!

Industry-leading noise cancellation that's even better

Sony have always been front runners in developing noise cancelling technology, but it seems they've outdone themselves in their WH-1000XM3 headphones. The noise cancellation technology in these headphones is described as "our most advanced ever", with close fitting ear pads and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 combining to ensure that Sony stays ahead of the pack.

Smarter than before

Headphones can be smart, and in the case of the WH-1000XM3 model, they're super smart. Their advanced noise cancelling technology such as Adaptive Sound Control is a prime example, while other smart features include Quick Attention, which quickly turns down music, call sound, and ringtone to allow ambient sound to be heard easily, plus Voice Assistant compatibility and touch control.

Awesome audio

Noise cancellation is one thing...what about the sounds? LDAC, Sony's new wireless audio technology transmits about three times more data than conventional BLUETOOTH wireless audio. This means you can now enjoy audio content that approaches a dedicated wired connection.

NC is AOK

The dedicated NC processor in the WH-1000XM3 headphones ensures reproduction of your music is not compromised at any stage, even by processor performance.

Head in the clouds

Many of us use headphones while we're flying. Sony understands this so they've introduced Unique Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing to their WH-1000XM3 headphones. This delivers optimal sound at high altitude.

Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black WH-1000XM3B review

For a price of $348, the Sony WH-1000XM3 offers a a high-tech headphone with good noise cancellation and a decent sound. Although the poor sound quality straight out of the box may necessitate using Sony’s app to adjust the audio quality, this headphone offers a decent wireless and noise-cancelling...

A good $50 headphone. $350, no way!

Battery life - Nowhere near 30 hours. Noise cancellation - I couldn't notice any. Ergonomics - Buttons WAY too small / hard to find. Documentation - None. Setup instructions - None. I'm trying to use these withh a PC. When I found documentation / instructions on-line, it's all for smartphone!

Sony WH-1000XM3

Build and design When you unpack the XM3 for the first time, you will first be surprised by its low weight. In your hands as well on your head, these headphones have a tendency to disappear, which is quite a respectable feat, regarding all the technology Sony has stuffed In there.

good enough sound for most people

sound quality not up to the price tag

Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black WH-1000XM3B review

I previously included the M3 in Rappler’s 16 favorite gadgets of 2018 and months later, what I wrote back then still rings true. It’s still one of the best, if not the best, noise-cancelling wireless headphones in the market, combining stellar audio performance with exceptional noise-cancelling...

Review: Sony's $350 WH-1000XM3 headphones live up to the hype

In today's $350 wireless, ANC-equipped over-ear headphones space, there are two primary competitors: Bose's QuietComfort 35 II and Sony's WH-1000XM3. Bose has long been championed as the king of the segment by many, but it seems impossible to talk about the QC35 II these days without someone butting...

Design/build Looks are subjective; but these look very premium in my opinion; Comfort These actually feel more comfortable to me than the QC35 II; Sound It's fantastic out of the box; and it can be tuned to your preferences in the companion app; Noise cancelling You won't be able to hear a thing in...

Touch controls I've had frequent issues with taps/swipes not registering; and they can have a mind of their own in certain scenarios; Price $350 is a lot of money for a set of headphones; and these are basically never discounted

The WH-1000XM3 is the Sony's newest addition to its WH-1000 series, priced at an attractive price of ₹29,990. In fact, Sony has done everything right with WH-1000XM3. It is a well-made headphone that offers a comfortable fit during long sessions. The ear cups can be folded into the headband.

I couldn't be happier

I couldn't be more impressed with these headphones. Everything I read about them was true. I own many headphones, from high-end to budget, & these headphones are impressive. The sound quality is excellent, the noise canceling is freakishly good, & the battery is the best I've ever experienced.

The WH-1000XM3 is one of the best pair of headphones we've ever used, this includes wired headphones as well. These headphones are a must-have gadget if you love music and also like to travel. It is by far my favourite gadget in 2018 and it costs Rs 28,990.

Excellent Sound; Awesome Noise Cancellation; Superb Battery life

Does not support multiple device pairing; No dedicated Google Assistant Button; Touch Controls are weird
