For a truly wireless headphone experience that checks off all of the marks including effective noise cancellation, impressive battery life, and easy pairing, these buds are it. The higher price tag (similar to some models of AirPods) is worth every penny.
Android and iOS apps, Great battery life, Effective noise-canceling
Pricey, No IP (Ingress Protection) rating for water-resistance
The Sony WF-1000XM3 is great-sounding AirPods alternative, especially if you want active noise-cancelling. The Sony WF-1000XM3 is more than just a do-over done right for the brand (I'm looking at you, WF-SP700N).
Stellar audio performance, Great noise cancellation, Tons of personalization via companion app, Excellent battery life across the board, Luxe, sharp-looking design
Touch controls could use some work, Poor call quality, Loose-fitting tips
Great sound and noise cancelling. Does not fit ear well, a little top heavy.
The WF-1000XM3 offer superb audio, a better design and terrific noise cancellation. They've been topped in the noise-cancelling department, but they remain an excellent pair of earbuds - and they're now much cheaper than when they first went on sale

Awesome sound and call quality; Fantastic battery life; Great noise canceling; Compelling app-based features; Comfortable fit;
No water resistance; A bit bulky;
The Sony WF-1000XM3 is actually facing competition not just from the likes of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 and the Apple AirPods Pro, but also from buds that are a bit more affordable and yet quite good—the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Buds+, the Jabra Elite 75t and the second generation...
