The worst arm band i had. No support, the band stoped working after 3months. Doesn't connect well with other than Sony devices.

Sony's been in the wearable tech game for longer than most and the Sony SmartBand Talk is already the second fitness tracker from the company we've reviewed this year. As Sony Ericsson, the company was knocking out smartwatches as early as 2006, and Sony even had two Android-powered smartwatches on...
E Ink display is super crisp; Notification setup is great; Comfortable on the wrist; You can phone your mum
Activity tracking is way off; Battery life isn't brilliant; Ghosting issues with display; Bluetooth connection often drops
Sony's SmartBand Talk is ideal for anyone who can't decide whether to buy a fitness tracker or a smartwatch.
Lightweight and comfortable; Long battery life; Feature packed; Water resistant
Only works with Android; Fitness tracking is limited
It's worth noting, though, that the Sony SmartWatch 3 can be found for just £50 more, so if you're after SmartWatch functionality more than fitness tracking it's definitely worth investigating before making the decision to buy the SmartBand Talk.
The world is awash with fitness bands, each one promising to help you make sense of your workouts, track how well you're doing and spur you on when your willpower flags. With so many options available from so many different companies, it's difficult for new models to stand out.
The SmartBand Talk's screen, waterproof design and ability to show your incoming notifications make it a useful piece of tech to wear, even if you're not fussed about keeping track of your activity during the day.
The Sony SmartBand Talk's e-ink display makes it easy to see your activity, the time and incoming notifications. The display uses very little power so battery life is pretty good and its ability to take calls comes in handy when you're too busy (or too lazy) to fumble for your phone.
It doesn't have GPS, a heart-rate monitor or the most glamorous design. Sony's Lifelog fitness app keeps track of too much pointless information.

I use it for phone features and fitness features. The volume on the watch for taking phone calls is not as loud as I think it should be, making it difficult to hear. The sleep data is pretty cool. I like the voice features.

Great value for money. Fortunately I bought multiples as I wasted 3 before I knew the "best" way of applying the screen protector. Step 1: Read all the steps below to prepare beforehand Step 2: Throw away the instruction card, it does not apply to screen protectors this small (and flaccid), nor is...
We review the Sony SmartBand Talk, a smart little life tracker that can also take calls and throw notifications straight to your wrist - providing you have an Android phone. If you're after a wearable that's reasonably subtle and suitable to wear constantly, even when enjoying a spot of exercise,...
Slim and light; Decent battery life; Easy to set up and use; Waterproof
