Sony SRS-XB32 Bluetooth speaker review: Flashy lights, fun, amazing sound-and it's waterproof!

For a waterproof (to 3-feet immersion) speaker, Sony's SRS-XB32 sounds great. In fact it doesn't sound like an IP67 speaker, which is a high...

IP67 weatherization for pool use; Great sound; especially for a waterproof speaker; Flashy lights; Pairs (stereo) and chains with other Sony speakers

Sonority weakens slightly as the volume increases; Awkward procedure for enabling/disabling Extra Bass mode

Sony SRS-XB32

The wireless Sony SRS-XB32 speaker delivers a solid audio experience and a modest light show from its outdoor-friendly frame.

Strong, sculpted audio performance with rich bass depth and crisp highs; Gets loud for its size; Adjustable EQ; Waterproof

Mediocre mic quality; DSP can overwhelm mix at times

Party Speaker that hits the baseline hard!

First things first...compared to all other similar sized bluetooth speakers I have used in the past...the XB32 blows all of them out the water, fantastic piece of kit. Based on its sound alone, what Sony have done with the XB32 is create a device for playing modern music genres with simple hard...

Sony SRS-XB32 Bluetooth Speaker Review: The Perfect Party Speaker

Every time Sony launches a Bluetooth speaker, I'm just generally more excited than most people here. That's partly because I absolutely love listening to music on speakers, and mostly because I've found Sony's Bluetooth speakers to offer better sound quality when compared to what other brands have...

Excellent sound quality; Amazing battery life; IP67 rating; Shock proof; USB-A port for charging your phone; Absolutely loaded with fun features

No USB-C port; Using the button-combinations can be confusing; No Bluetooth 5.0; No aptX support

Sony SRS-XB32 review

Sony wants you to know it's cool.

Price; Tough IP67 build; LDAC and AAC compatibility; Colorful LED light strip is cool

Low end is too strong for my taste; Charges via micro-USB; Stroke lights are a bit much; Battery life

Great for what I use it for

I just bought this a few days ago and I am really satisfied with the XB32. This speaker is the replacement of an XB3 I have been using for around two years and I have noticed a major improvement in the sound quality.

Great speaker all round

Turns on and off instantly which i like. Connects instantly aswell. The base is amazing. Wish it could be alot louder for when i have gatherings but it is definitely loud enough for use around the house.
