Mmmm. Pro gear. At long last, Sony's pro camcorder with E-mount (think: exchangeable lenses) has arrived. The broadcast quality HD camera is far too much gear for the amateur, but it never hurts to dream. Right?

We've been uncommonly keen to get our hands on the Sony NEX-FS100 ever since we first heard about it back in March . You see, this is no ordinary camcorder. Its spec sheet reads like a liturgy of filmmakers' prayers: a large Super 35mm Exmor CMOS sensor, interchangeable lenses, XLR inputs and...
Stunning footage; Great in low light; Modular design
No auto zoom; Lacks sturdiness; The sensor isn't as large as a DSLR's
Awesome camera
I use this camera for industry productions and i really do love the image this camera puts out. With the correct settings the HD image has a great film like quality. The lack of the auto zoom is not a great feature but if you work off the lense it is not a problem.
Easy to Use; Good Image Stabilization; Good in Low Light; Great Picture Quality; Great Sound; Large Clear LCD
Limited Zoom
By all accounts this is a very good camera and one I was seriously considering buying until I saw the price. Why does it cost 4700 dollars in the US and 4700+ pounds in UK Should be under 3000 pounds at current exchange rates plus whatever the difference in VAT might be.
Great camcorder. I returned it because the weight was too heavy for my purposes. Well made construction and usual Sony quality.
Easy to Use; Good Image Stabilization; Good in Low Light; Great Picture Quality; Great Sound; Great Zoom; Large Clear LCD; Zoom range/performance
Poor In Low Light
This camera is a very well designed, versatile and fun to use camera. It may have a few flaws but in all honest... I think I'm in love. PROS: Good battery life, lens and microphone included are good quality and can produce good results, lots of manual buttons and switches plus touchscreen looks...
Sony has traditionally been maligned as the video camera with the most video looking images, but with their recent entries into the digital cinema realm like the FS100, they've engineered their cameras to show high levels of detail but still soften elements like skin tones to make them appealing to...
