Poor bluetooth

So bought for running. Connected to Samsung sport. The BT drops out about every 5 to 10 steps while running, it's like it's a skipping CD. There is no obstruction watch on wrist, less than 30cm from ear. No apps but track my run and music running.

A fantastic pair of heaphones

I spent a long time looking for wireless earphones. I had decided that earphones are more versatile than headphones, and so had read into many reviews of market leading earphones. I was lucky enough to be able to try on a pair of these, and I straight away knew these were the ones.

no more cable hanging out of my pocket

Had thought about getting wireless headphones for a while, as if like me you catch your hand on the hardwired earphones and end up pulling one out of your ear and eventually lose the sound in one earphone (very annoying). Got these as a Christmas present and absolutely love them.

Sony MDR-XB80BS

If big bass motivates you during your workouts, Sony's MDR-XB80BS earphones will provide it in spades and stay in place while doing so. However, many bass lovers don't necessarily realize that they also want a crisp high-mid punch to help add crunch and contour to mixes, whether they be pop or...

Powerful bass response doesn't distort at high volumes; Secure in-ear fit; Water-resistant design ideal for exercise

Sound signature lacks high-mid defintion; Control panel could be laid out more usefully

Comfortable fit

Delivery was quick, product wirelessly connects without fuss to all devices, however the volume is very low ands is capped by the output of the device its connected to which makes it not very useful

Sony MDR-XB80BS Review

The XB in Sony's MDR-XB80BS Bluetooth earphones stands for "extra bass," and Sony isn't kidding around. At $99.99, the wireless in-ears supply some seriously powerful bass response in an exceptionally secure-fitting design. The water resistant-earphones are not without flaws, though. The layout of the control panel is slightly annoying, and the drivers don't push out enough high-mid presence to match the intense bass response, so things often sound unbalanced as a result. Design Available in black, blue, or red, the MDR-XB80BS is a neckband-style pair that uses ear hooks to help stabilize and secure the in-ear fit. An IPX5 water-resistance rating means you can wear the earphones when you're exercising or out in the rain. Just make sure the snap-shut cover for the micro USB charging port is closed. The ear hooks are a soft, flexible material that extends over the top of the ear; the part that rests behind the ear is thicker and more rigid. From these sections, the neckband extend...

The wireless, exercise-friendly Sony MDR-XB80BS earphones deliver thunderous bass, but lack the high-mid definition that allows for balance.

Sony MDR-XB80BS

The Sony MDR-XB80BS are wireless sports earphones, currently available for around £85 – a rather more attractive price than the original £110. Tech-wise they're spot on, and the fit is perfect for runners or for use in the gym.

Sport-ready design with water resistance; Lots of wireless features

Better sound available at the price; Polarising fit and feel

hits the sweet spot

To date very happy with the product, used for sweaty workouts and doesn't miss a beat. A big leap from other so-called sweat proof headphones, and the Bluetooth whilst in gym has never disconnected.

No problem

This is the 4th Bluetooth headphone I bought during the last 6 months and this is the only one without any faulty after few times use so I am very happy with it.

Sony MDR-XB80BS Extra Bass review: Loud, bassy and firm-fitting sports earphones

Sony has been in the earphone business as long as time can tell, with its current range including some fantastic over-ear noise-cancelling headphones, and in-ear headphones to suit any budget.

Snug fit; durable build and full; loud audio

A little uncomfortable sometimes; buttons are fiddly
