Use them with the TV all of the time. They are overly sensitive compared to more conventional headphones. They are, of course, more bass heavy than others.

The combination of smooth but heavy bass and recessed but crisp midrange and treble of the Sony XB700 makes for an exiting and enjoyable sound signature.
cord extension reccomended for computer use.
they are very comfortable and they have great sound, i am not a pro when it comes to determining sound quality but i like them; i just ordered them today, nedt day delivery, friend let me try his out
short cord for use on computes, not terrible but i had this problem with last pair of xtreme xplosives, ide stand up with them on or catch the cord with my leg, they didnt last long thats why im buying these; cord extension reccomended
I heard the XB300 as far too colored and uneven for anyone. Not recommended.
These are real nice pair of headphones and I've been really pleased with my experience with them so far. The only thing I can complain about is that they are so large that they're not really leave-the-house friendly.
Cracking if you only listen to bass heavy tunes, not so good if you like guitars
Cosier than a four poster bed; great bassy sound on dance tracks
Lack of detail on guitar tracks; too big to wear out
If you are a bass-head the MDR-XB700 will suit you perfectly, with slow, powerful low frequencies prioritised over all others. For discerning music listening they are not so spectacular.
Plush; decent acoustic noise cancellation
Slightly recessed treble; heavy; short cable (and silly cable design
