Sony MDR-XB650BT

3.0
Pros: Excellent battery life, NFC and aptX, Comfy
Cons: Poor-quality bass, Not great for exercise use
Verdict: The Sony MDR-XB650BT are sensibly priced wireless headphones that are part of Sony's "Xtra Bass" range. It's the Sony equivalent to Beats, but its pairs tend to sell at a lower price. This isn't really enough to satisfy in such a crowded market.

Sony Bluetooth Headphones (MDR-XB650BT) Review

Verdict: I listen to a lot of podcasts and music at the day job. I've been using the same wired earbuds for years but my recent purchase of a Moto Z has led me to reevaluate things. Of course, I could just continue using the same earbuds with a 3.5mm>USB-C adapter but what's the fun in that?

Verdict: Sony has always been a pioneer when it comes to music. And the latest addition to its MDR range, the MDRXB650BT headphones, do its reputation no harm at all. We have seen many Bluetooth headsets but this one from the company is certainly eye catching for those who are looking for a stylish headset.

Pros: Heavy bass, Amazing on-battery runtime, High fidelity microphone, NFC one-touch pairing
Cons: Bass can become overpowering, No optional wired playback
Verdict: Not a lot of good options are available when I go out looking for some branded, good looking wireless headphones. When Sony MDR-XB650BT arrived for review I said to myself – if these sound good, their overnight success is guaranteed!

Sony MDR-XB650BT

4.0
Pros: Massive bass response. No distortion at top volume levels. Decent clarity in highs. Exceptionally comfortable
Cons: Bass is way too dialed-up to be accurate. No way to listen passively via an audio cable. No protective pouch
Verdict: The Sony MDR-XB650BT is marketed as an "extra bass" headphone pair, and that's exactly what you get-along with a very comfy build. Booming bass fiends will absolutely love these while purists (or even those who really like bass but also want some general balance delivered in the mix) will not be...

Sony MDR-XB650BT

3.4
Pros: Decent audio balance, Powerful audio delivery, Big, booming bass
Cons: Audio lacks warmth and tightness, Uncomfortable in extended wear, Buttons are difficult to operate
Verdict: The Sony MDR-XB650BT is a decent pair of headphones, and delivers decently-balanced yet powerful audio delivery. The bass bias does sound jarring in certain areas, but for the most part, it succeeds in pleasing you with the audio.

Good product with limitations

5.0
Verdict: Good quality sound, Bluetooth works well, headphones feel quite tight on head and wearing them for longer becomes uncomfortable, being able to adjust tension would be helpful. Could not try them in shop.

Nice looking headphones

5.0
Verdict: I was gifted these at Christmas (2018) and I loved the design of them straight out of the box. They are on ear headphones, and not over - I feel this is important to stress, because there is a difference. Sound quality is decent, but nothing outstanding.

Superb product but with three small drawbacks.

1.0
Verdict: "These headphones are generally excellent. Large cups with soft padding that sits over the ears onto the head make them a joy to wear for extended periods of time (6+ hours) which is easily achievable thanks to the excellent battery life.

Good at first

Verdict: Worked excellently for first month but now and then the sound just keeps dropping out. No pattern to when it happens. I hope I can keep using these but if I buy a new set, probably won't be this brand again.

Very good headphones.

5.0
Verdict: Very good product, good sound quality, I turned down bass to get most from middle range. Bass was to strong for me. Downside no option to use a lead between device and headphones, microphone is very sensitive, taking all noise from background, if you doing long calls caller might feel uncomfortable.

Very poor design/material quality

3.0
Verdict: Got them of Amazon as a Christmas gift for my wife. Six months later both side swivels are broken, the ear phones just dangling on the wiring.Bought a protection plan but it is just a standard one (no accident protection)-not covering this kind of issue.

Love it so much

5.0
Verdict: Very great product, easy to use and thicc bass. Super fast free shipping was on point. Could do with a 3.5mm headphone/mic jack to be able to use with non-Bluetooth devices, other than that it's absolutely great

5.0
Verdict: I was just curious and looking at headphones at target and I saw these on clearance for $70 so I just gunned it and bought them. I love them, I never thought too much bass was a problem but apparently to some people it is. These connect perfect with my phone and they are loud!

Awesome!

4.0
Pros: Nice, strong, loud without distortion, punchy bass...and it's over Bluetooth non the less. Battery life is amazing you will get about 38hrs on a single charge
Cons: Not the best build quality, but very sturdy. They require at least a 48-72 hour break in period for comfort. Stretch them out over a box not bigger than you head for 24-48 hours and your all set
Verdict: One of THE best sounding headphones I have used. The bass on these are incredible but not too over powering like the Sony XB950BT, which is just too much bass for me. The build quality could have been a lot better, shame on you Sony for using cheap plastic to build these.
