at $35 you are throwing your money away

At $35 you are wasting your money on these guys. The low end is quite pronounced, but the high end response is crippled by anything with bass in the program material.

Comfortable for long periods of wear; I've had this pair for 5 years and they still work just as they did when I bought them; Nice thick cord

The claim to go up to 22khz is valid only if you are playing a sine wave; They is a significant dip in response between 7khz and 8khz; Anything with a dose of sub-low mid in the program and the hi end is DRASTICALLY cut; These guys get super blurry in the top end even at low volume

Only buy these if the following are your guidelines: 1. You don't really care much about sound quality. -- The sound you get from these headphones, while better than a good amount of closed headphones for $20, is still mediocre.

Reasonable headphoens, but the lead is sooo long

Sound is reasonable on these, without being outstanding, but then you should expect little else at this price point. The lead is very long, and is difficult to manage, but overall, not bad for the price.

Not good value

Even for a cheap price of less than £12, these are not good headphones from Sony. Disappointing aspects are: - fuzzy woofled bass; - hissy treble; - very uncomfortable on the ear cartilege, after only short periods of use. Cheap, but not the usual Sony quality.

These are pretty decent inexpensive headphones. They have some pretty alright bass, but not too much to overpower the treble or clearness. The design seem pretty simple and they are comfortable enough to listen for a long time. It may get uncomfortable after a few hours.

Say no to Sony

First impressions I were never a huge fan of this type of headphone design. I think that they look bulky and out of place these days, especially considering you may spend hundreds of pounds on the smallest MP3 player you can possibly find, only to walk around wearing these big things!

Very; very cheap

Cheap look and feel; lacking in the sound quality department

Great product at an awesome price.

I bought this product because I dislike those annoying in-ear bud type ones. The specs of this Sony item looked good and the price was certainly attractive. The headphone cups are comfortable for medium term listening and the sound generated is quite good.

Excellent headphone

I bought this headphone for my 95 year old deaf neighbor to use when he asks me to record a program for him and then watches it at maximum volume, enough to disturb my neighbors below. I've tested it but he hasn't used it yet.

For the money, you can't really go wrong. This is the 2nd pair i've had. Just keep them away from kids though, as they don't react to well to kids yanking on the leads, as i found out.

Great Headphones

I picked this up by chance for $19 at walmart to use with my FT-950. Best $19 ever spent on a set of headphones. I have had others and these sony V150's are far superior in sound and comfort. No unwanted white noise like I had with other headphones, just the sounds that you need to hear.
