Near Equal to the "High Price Brand"
These headphones are great and as far as I can tell are equal to the "high price brand". Great sound and comfortable to wear. The "high price brand" also cost about 5 times more than these.

Probably the best headphones yet.
These headphones do the job and exceed my expectations. Insane bass that you can hear that subwoofers can't produce. My friend would be talking and pointing gestures at me and I would not know what the language is. Probably the best headphones and doesn't even weigh a pound it feels like.

Great headphones
I like to watch Netflix while on the treadmill but was having trouble hearing. These headphones are just what I was looking for!

Amazing!
these are one of many on ear noise canceling headphones ive listened to and they are one of the best ive heard. great amazing clear sound and very handy and accessible, light weight and great quality. great purchase!

Headphone
Better than any that I have used, but I guess it will be better used only for flight journey, which is what was intended for anyway. The wire seems too long for the daily use and for movement flexibility, it is kind of too long. it does cancel out noise and does what it says.

Decent on-ear performance
I prefer on-ear headphones. These headphones feel just a little tight on my head which is probably good for keeping them on while riding the commuter train. There is almost no sound 'bleed', when I have them of my ears, around my neck I can not hear the music.

They Were A Steal For Me
I purchased these MDR-NC40 Sony Noise-Cancelling Headphones from Radio Shack for only $30 this week. That's a bargain for headphones that Sony still sells for $100, but as about as high as someone like me, who is not an audiophile would be willing to spend on headphones. I have owned Sony's

Like Sony's in-ear MDR-NC22 noise-canceling earphones, the new MDR-NC40's best feature is its price: Both pairs are only $100. The MDR-NC40 isn't an in-ear model but a supra-aural set of headphones, meaning that they sit on the ears without creating a seal.

Cons:
- Takes a standard AAA battery instead of a rechargeable cell
- Battery pack is in the middle of the headphone cable
