Sony MDR-NC200D (Black)

If you can't afford Bose's QuietComfort noise-canceling headphones, the attractively designed and more affordable Sony MDR-NC200Ds are worth your consideration.

Slight; but audible hiss with noise canceling on; and the headphones lack an integrated microphone for making calls

Good value for money headphones.

Recipients seem very happy with headphones.. Sound quality good. Light on ears. Blocks out requests from mother!

Excellent Performance, Comfort and Cost

I had been looking for noise cancelling headphones that delivered a balance of performance, comfort and cost. This headset does just that, it is compact enough and certainly comfortable as well. I used these on flights and while mowing the lawn. I also bought a pair for my wife which she also likes.

Great Headphones!

Great pair of headphones. Reminds me of the Beats Solo by Monster. However, if the battery is not in and the NC is not in the bass is decreased noticeably. My box also did not come with a battery which was a bit odd. These are worth the price right now ($89). Go ahead and buy them they are great!

Amazing sound; effective noise cancelling; fits nicely

Sound is poor without battery or NC on; No inline volume cntrl/mic

Good

Very good noise cancelling with a nice unique design along with deep bass, however without the battery/noise cancelling the sound is totally different..... There are better choices but this would be good if You're looking for active noise cancelling at a good price.

Bass; Comfort; Noise Cancellation

Price; Some static noise; No battery no quality; Bass kind of distorts mids and highs

Good quality sound and noise reducer but . . .

not for use with long flight. I tried this for about 4 movies in my 16 + 5 hours one-way flight and my ears were hurt after each movie because the headphone was pressing over them. I am thinking to try B*s* with about $100 more and give this to my daughter.

Solid Pair of Noise-canceling Headphones

Sony MDR-NC200D Digital Noise-Canceling Headphones are some of the best mid level headphones that I've had the opportunity to try out. They comfortable, well designed, have a great sound, and do a good job of attenuating the ambient noise. Here are some of my main observations.

Too many bugs for the price!

I have been researching headphone for a couple of months. Bought these as I was leaving on a road trip. After just 2 hours my ears were very sore. Also in both regular and noise cancelling mode there is always a background humming noise, which is faint but annoying. Pretty good bass though.
