Works fine and easy to use. I overlooked the fact that you cannot interact with the unit through a USB connection to a computer. My fault, but makes the unit essentially useless for me.
I brought this to place in my pocket for meetings which i need to listen rather than take lots of notes. On play back the sound is very clear and i can review meetings and actions. Very pleased with this easy use digital voice recorder.
My brother had me order this for his girlfriend. She just needed a basic recorder for making notations when she didn't have time or couldn't write them down. She is thrilled with it. It does not have all the features of the more expensive models, but it has more than she'll ever use.
I have an ancient tape Dictaphone which is about 3 times better than this. Read reviews and am amazed there were so many good ones. It may be faulty but I can hear nothing but a loud drone and if I hadn't thrown out the packaging it would have been returned. The only place for this is the bin.
This handy little device is only mono in that it only has one mic & one speaker. Plug a stereo signal into the mic jack, set it to SHQ recording mode, and it DOES record in stereo. I knew this recorder was available for about 2 years before I bought it.
The Sony ICD-BX140 digital voice recorder is a super affordable and portable voice recorder from a reliable brand.
