I bought this recorder a week ago and I am so happy

I have never had the need to own a Dictaphone up till now. It is a wonderful device and works really well. I am a very satisfied customer.

I bought this for my wife, she is a bible study leader and often has to quote scripture, she is blissfully happy with this little device, says it makes her job MUCH easier.

This has very good sound quality. Easy to use. It is just what I needed to record for our Historians group, work and to take notes. The sound was great even after doing a playback/record to my phone so I could email it to friends.

Recorder has low volume, a lot of static and hard to hear what you have recorded. I am disappointed in the Sony ICD-BX Recorder. Staples is one of my favorite places to shop. My review is not about Staples my review is about Sony, Sony has always had great products, this is not one of them.

Don't waste your money on this item at 5 foot away it does not pick up good enough to understand what is being said.

Easy to use and works perfectly! I love the voice recording mode that just records when it hears voices. No need to start and pause yourself, it does that for you.

Looking for a new voice recorder Get Sony ICD-BX140 model capture clear sound with minimal effort. Its compact design is portable, while its performance is excellently well. If you are a professional, student or reporter recorder Sony ICD-BX140 model can perform very good.

The device is fine; The sound etc works

It wasn't exactly what I expected, you cant charge it as the device uses batteries; I wouldn't say the instructions are the best either as I don't know how to store a recording or save it onto my laptop; I'm not a technical person but usually don't have issues using basic things like this.
