what I got is looks like used return product but sale in full price. I have to clean it by myself, but still looks like a used one. I need to use this model, so I no time to return. Too Bad.

Great lens to have in your lightweight kit.

I hike a lot and I shoot landscapes. A super wide lens is a necessity for me and this matches up perfectly in size/weight with my Sony A6000 kit. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with any type of case or soft bag.
Pros:
  • small size
  • lightweight
Cons:
  • no case

Great wide angle

This is one of my favorite lenses for my A6500. There arent many options for a wide angle zoom for APS-C e-mount and considering the price compared to a full frame lens at twice the price this produces some terrific quality photos. Its not without its caveats though.

Sony 10-18mm f/4 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens

One of the big reasons to get an interchangeable lens camera is for wide-angle photography. Some point and shoots go as wide as 23mm, but none match the 15-27mm (35mm equivalent) field of view that the Sony 10-18mm f/4 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens ($849.99 direct) delivers.
Pros:
  • Quite sharp at wider angles
  • Fixed f/4 aperture.
Cons:
  • Exhibits rectilinear distortion
  • Some softness at 18mm.

Sony SEL 10-18mm f/4 OSS Lens Review

Handling and features Performance Verdict Specification An ultra wide angle zoom lens for Sony NEX cameras that provides an angle of view equivalent to a 15-27mm lens on a 35mm camera. The lens also sports a constant maximum aperture of f/4, optical image stabilisation and costs around £700.
Pros:
  • Good build quality
  • Good performance when stopped down a little
  • Lightweight for a wide angle zoom
  • Low distortion
Cons:
  • Lacklustre performance at maximum aperture between 14mm and 18mm
  • Some issues focusing accurately in low contrast and low light conditions

Sony E 10-18mm F4 OSS Review

The Sony 10-18mm f/4 wide-angle zoom lens is a sharp optic that adds an ultra-wide perspective to your NEX photography system. The Sony E 10-18mm F4 OSS ($899.99) is the company's only ultra-wide zoom lens for its APS-C mirrorless system. It's a compact, lightweight lens with a big angle of view, and pairs well with Sony's mirrorless cameras. Optics are strong, but we wish it was a bit better built given its asking price. That said, there aren't a lot of compelling alternatives, unless you want to fiddle with adapted lenses or manual focus alternatives. Small and Light The E 10-18mm works with Sony's APS-C mirrorless camera system. Sony's cameras are generally smaller all around than SLRs, so it's good that this zoom keeps its size under control. It measures 2.5 by 2.8 inches (HD) and weighs just 7.9 ounces. The lens is finished in black. There's no dust or splash protection included, though. It's a feature that Sony has included in select a6000 series cameras for some time now, but it's only recently started to offer dedicated APS-C lenses to match as part of its G series. Only time will tell if it u...
Pros:
  • Strong optics
  • Optical stabilization
  • Light and compact
  • Supports front filters
  • Ultra-wide angle of view
Cons:
  • Some distortion
  • Omits dust and splash protection

Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS (SEL-1018) - Lab Test / Review

While you usually don't really need a fast AF on such a lens, it is perfectly fine regarding speed as well as noise level. A still unusual feature on an ultra-wide lens is an optical image stabilizer.

A really great lens, just about worth the cost. I've been using it for landscapes and it's been good. It's a little soft in parts but I'm still trying to figure out at what focal length and aperture this occurs at.
