the best 35 for FF available at all mounts - even better than Sigma 35 a

PROS 1- outstanding sharpness ! even at extreme - AND when I say extreme I mean egregious corners Sharp enough to 500% read small text black on white ) and the middle portion of frame THE SHARPNESS IS 95% of OTUS - and I must say its unachievable result for 99% of lens market.

Sony Zeiss Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA SEL35F14Z

This lens is able to capitalise on the superior high ISO performance of Sony's recent ‘full frame' cameras, making it a...

Yup. The one and only.

If you only need one lens, want one lens, feel all magnum inspired, buy one. It's fabulous. Sharp (who cares, most lenses are sharp at this sort of money, if not then why would you be looking) fast ( like an oiled 80's temptress in a leotard) Heavy

Sony / Zeiss FE Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 ZA ( SEL35F14Z ) - Review / Test Report

It seems as if the Zeiss-Sony relationship has cooled off a little lately- probably because both want to harvest the premium segment. Zeiss appears to gravitate towards their own Zeiss Batis lens lineup now whereas Sony is focusing on Sony G and GM lenses.

Sony Distagon T FE 35mm F1.4 ZA Lens (SEL35F14Z) SEL35F14Z review

Being rather colorful from an aberration perspective, this lens displays obvious spherical, axial, and lateral CA and especially the former aberrations at the widest apertures. Wide-open vignetting is expectedly strong, defocused highlight bokeh is not round, and sunstars rendering is not great.
