Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 review
Every new camera needs a unique selling point and with Sony's pocket-sized RX100 that is the holy grail of ‘DSLR quality in compact form'. Though the solid feel, aluminium build model resembles your average high-end snapshot from the outside, inside is a 20.2 megapixel sensor that at one inch is...
Pros:
- One of the largest image sensors to be found in a compact camera
- high 20MP resolution
- Full HD video with stereo sound
- full manual controls and intelligent auto settings
- solid aluminium construction and understated design
Cons:
- Very expensive for a pocket camera
- backplate buttons are small enough to warrant fingertip precision
- image quality not exact match for DSLR or system cameras offering even larger sensor for a similar cost

Believe the hype, this is the best compact camera ever made. Near DSLR quality shots and I can take it anywhere.......... and the shutter speed, snap off shots as fast as your finger can work.

efficiency and travel friendly
This compact RX 100 define my needs. I used to have a DSLR camera and I feel like a professional photographer but never had the time to learn the basic. But this packet size gadget will not just let you travel light but it will also give you the same action that professional DSLR users have.
Pros:
- everything in it
- compact and travel friendly
Cons:
- flash is a little too complicated to handle.

I've just got mine, but it's definitely a great piece of kit. I've always been a point-and-shoot camera user, who travels a lot, and wanted to get better images without lugging a big chunky SLR everywhere I go. I think this camera will fill a much needed gap in the market for people like myself.
Pros:
- Pocketable size with superior image quality
- HD Movies.
Cons:
- Zoom is limited (x3.6

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100
Ever wondered why image quality in point-and-shoot cameras has not improved considerably over the last couple of years? Especially in low-light / high-ISO shooting? That's because manufacturers have been simply cramming more and more pixels onto a tiny image sensor (barring a few exceptions, like...

- RAW image format
- Good low-light performance
- Manual focus ring

Sony RX100 Review
Given the sensor size the the solid performance of the RX100, I can't see a better point and shoot camera on the market right now. The RX100 is fast and produces extremely solid images for a camera that easily fits in your pocket.

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 Camera Mini Review + Sample Photos
When you first hear the $649 price tag for the Sony Cyber-shot RX100, $649 might seem over the top for a compact digicam. After all, for $649 you ...
Pros:
- Pretty much the best compact digicam ever (at least under $1k)
- Carl Zeiss optics
- handsome retro-tastic design and great build-quality
- excellent photo and video chops
Cons:
- Pricey
- battery life could be better
- we had an "incident" where the humid weather created condensation in the lens and temporarily resulted in blurry photos
- no interchangeable lens system

Your pocket-sized 'DSLR'
Have had the RX100 for nearly four months now and am staggered by the image quality. Compacts have disppointed in the past mainly due to their focussing speed. No problem with this little beauty. It fits into a jeans pocket with no problems at all, and it's very disrete indeed.
Pros:
- Durable
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality
- Lightweight
