it is good to be pleased
First point is that for me Newegg is by far the best retailer on the internet, bar none. They always deliver above expectation. Seems I have been doing business with them since about 1999 or so.- size

- f1.8 lens

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 (20.2 Megapixel, Compact Digital Camera, Black)
Great camera for people who would like a lot more customisation with controls on a compact camera without using the big DSLR. Love the flexibility of the flash so as to use the flash in a more creative way, than just usual spot highlight on the subject.- Excellent beginners professional camera for someone who cannot handle a DSLR

Sony DSC-RX100: Hands On Review
Looking back, the Sony RX100 shines in nearly every area, particularly image quality, speed and the ease of use with the front control ring and simple back controls. The compact size didn't allow for a viewfinder, but a fourth pixel in the LCD screen to assist with taking shots in bright sunlight...
A breakthrough camera
Pros: the new stacked imager yields exceptional photos. Coupled with Sony's intelligent scene management, truly striking images are obtained without having to 'optimize' them after transfer to the laptop. The super-high-frame-rate video is spectacular but alas I have not used it much.
Fantastic camera at bargain pricing.
Don't ignore the first generation DSC.Takes great pictures with Zeiss lens.Good point and shoot presets,as well as full adjustability of aperture and speed.Fast multishot capability.I was concerned about low light performance, versus backlit sensor, but the camera performed well under challenging...
More than a point and shoot camera
This camera has an extraordinary lens not found in a camera you can carry with you when space is limited. It has tremendous features and takes great pics in low light. This is the 2nd one I bought as the 1st was blown over on a tripod in Death Valley
SONY Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV High Performance Compact Camera - Black

Best Point and Shoot camera out there!!
Quality of dslr in your pocket!!
Good solid camera
Very good camera. I would give it a 5 star rating except for layout for top controls. I'm rough on cameras and pull out the camera to shoot quick pics of a view or a breadcumb path trace. So the settings knob gets bumped a lot and I find that I'm often shooting off an odd setting.
good things come in small packages
I take this with me everywhere for its handy compact size. Picture quality is excellent and speed is great. Only thing it lacks is a view finder and more optical zoom.
