The Sony DSC-RX100 VI offers powerful features and very-good-quality images and video, but it's extremely pricey.

Very good quality and versatility in bright light; Excellent electronic viewfinder; Many shooting modes; Lots of high-quality video options; Shoots up to 24 frames per second; RAW files

It's expensive; Images and video are noisy in some low-light scenarios; Can't capture time-lapse video clips

I didn't like paying nearly $1200. but have to admit I am totally impressed with this camera in one day of use so far. Test shots seem really sharp across the field at all focal lengths (yes even 200mm). In-camera JPEGs look pretty good, RAW of course a little better after processing.

I'm totally satisfied with this camera I figured it would be the best option to start small and work my way up to something big but the way I look at it this small thing is able to keep up with the big boys totally satisfying it and glad that I bought this but don't tell the wife how much it cost...

I did all the research the RX100M4 was rated best for pocket sized quality cameras. I purchased specifically for combination of size and quality for a 5 week trip to Fiji and New Zealand, purchased full accessories, etc. Took on the trip and the camera developed firmware problems after 6 days.

Simply put, the Sony RX100 IV is the best pocket camera money can buy today. Of course, it takes a lot of money to buy this camera, which is probably the only criticism that I have for the RX100 IV. At $950 retail, the potential audience is somewhat limited by the size of one's wallet.

The most significant changes are the slow motion video feature and the high speed shutter speed of 1/30,000, along with a new auto-focusing system. Sony has kept the compact size and who can fault it for keeping a winning formula

An EVF, 16fps shooting and 40x slow motion are desirable features, but we'd have liked a touchscreen to speed up focusing, so it's four stars for Features & Build.
