Sony DSC-RX100 VI Review: One Packed Camera

The Sony DSC-RX100 VI offers powerful features and very-good-quality images and video, but it's extremely pricey.

Very good quality and versatility in bright light; Excellent electronic viewfinder; Many shooting modes; Lots of high-quality video options; Shoots up to 24 frames per second; RAW files

It's expensive; Images and video are noisy in some low-light scenarios; Can't capture time-lapse video clips

What We Love. If you're someone who is a casual shooter looking for a sleek compact camera with a lot of potential, you'll definitely appreciate the Sony RX100 VI. It's a powerful little thing--and by little, we mean your smartphone might be only slightly bigger--with fantastic features like its...

Great image quality and color reproduction; Wide sensitivity range; Image stabilization; Fast AF with Eye and Face detection; Continuous shooting of 24fps; Slow motion of up to 40x; 4K shooting; Touchscreen LCD; Nice zoom range; Compact body; Has built-in flash

No weather sealing; Poor noise control; AF not good in low light; Battery life is just ok; Pricey

Sony RX100 VI review: a tiny powerhouse

The point-and-shoot fit for a photographer

Great image quality; Still works like a P&S but offers manual controls; The extra zoom is useful

Weak flash; High price; Battery can be a bit short

We're willing to blame some of the problems that we saw with the pre-production units on them not being finalized. But there generally still are some issues that we think that Sony could have addresses and revamped with this camera.

A great point and shoot camera with an 8x zoom that allows you to shoot from further away, but definitely take an extra battery if you wish to shoot for long hours.

Compact; Great pop-up viewfinder

Short battery life; Price; Limited touchscreen

Sony RX100 VI review

Sony's latest wunder-compact, the RX100 VI manages to mix true pocketability with a range of powerful high-end features. But it all comes at one hell of price - £1,150 to be exactly.

High image quality from one-inch sensor; Tilting touch-sensitive screen; 4K video

Very high price; Slightly awkward handling; Limited zoom range

Top class compact camera

This camera is a replacement for my previous DSC-RX100 and what sensible improvements this VI model has. The flash is infinitely easier to use, the viewfinder great, the tilting screen also far easier to work with and thank goodness the camera has entered the modern age with Wi-Fi connectivity that...

Sony RX100 VI Review: A Very Compact and Premium Digital Camera - Filipino Tech Addict

Sony has been able to produce at least one of these cameras each year since 2012 and its very exciting to see that they've come a long way in terms of the new features on each generation.

Powerful options

Barely a week in use . . . I like it. Powerful pocket camera . . . and complex to pack all of that into a small form factor. Does most of what my full frame DSLR does. Have used lesser pocket cameras before. Looking forward to learning and using all the advanced features.
