Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 V
The fifth generation in the popular Sony RX100 series offers improved hardware and support for 4K recordings.

The 20 MP camera sensor remains the same, but the image processor is more powerful than previous generations.

Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 V is a compact camera that easily fits in your pocket. It carries a rather high price tag, but Sony still offers good value for money.

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V Compact Camera Review

The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V is a very compact and stylish camera with loads of power "under the hood." It features a 13.2x8.8mm (aka 1-inch type) sensor with an image resolution of 20 megapixels.

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V Review

If there's ever been a point-and-shoot that deserves a high price tag, it's Sony's RX100 Mark V.

24 fps continuous shooting; Improved 20.1MP 1-inch-type stacked sensor; 4K video; Compact; portable design; Nifty super-slow-motion mode

High price for a point-and-shoot; Poor battery life; Focal length could be longer

Sony RX100 V

Sony's RX100-series created the large-sensor compact camera category. Now, the Sony RX100 V takes it to the next level with performance that can blow away most interchangeable-lens cameras, yet in a package that can slip almost unnoticed into your pants pocket.

Pocket-friendly design; Unbelievably fast burst capture; Generous buffer depth, even for raw; Fast and confident autofocus; Very high resolution gives lots of detail in good light; High ISO noise levels much better than most pocket camera rivals; High-quality 4K video with uncompressed HDMI out;...

Very pricey for a compact camera; Still no touch screen; Slow buffer clearing; JPEGs can look over-processed at higher ISOs; Lens doesn't offer much telephoto reach; Battery life is very modest; 4K movies are limited to five minute clips

High Quality Camera

Very pleased with first results from the camera - it is small (heavy compared with other cameras at this size) and very expensive, but brings together a large sensor with a proper viewfinder and a built-in flash. Very expensive, but a quality product.

So, I just got my RX100V, which is intented to be the "keep it in my bag" camera. I am upgrading from the first version of the RX100 and I have a Panny FZ1000. I guess I became the 1-inch sensor kind-of guy.
