Great small camera

This is a super substitute for my larger cameras. Perfect for travel... really does fit in larger pockets. No need to lug lenses, etc. I enjoy the pics taken with RX100 MII.

Easy to Use; Great Resolution; Small / Compact

No Touchscreen; No Viewfinder

Powerful for it's size

I spent 2 hours in the SONY Store playing with this camera and took one hope right after. I am very happy with what this tiny package can provide. The construction is also very solid.

Compact; powerful; reasonable price

Short Battery Life; no optical view finder

Great product and Buydig service!

Pros: When my Canon S100 camera screen broke, I needed a replacement. After researching the market for a point and shoot replacement, I decided on the Sony RX100 II Cyber-shot. The camera is only slightly larger than the Canon S100 and takes outstanding, sharp pictures with accurate color.

DSLR quality photos in a compact camera body

This camera is amazing! Great picture quality. The fact that I could have a dslr quality camera and not have gigantic body is what sold me on this camera.

I thoroughly recommend the RX100 as a pocketable stand-in for a professional DSLR for situations where you can't use the DSLR (not practical/socially acceptable/safe to carry a big camera) For someone just starting up, who doesn't have a DSLR - there are lots of good entry-level DSLR's which are

The RX100 is genuinely pocketable; It stays in my day bag all the time, except when I put it in the pocket of my trousers, The image quality is excellent, at least as good as my Nikon D300.

I do not like LCD viewfinders; I accept them only as the price to pay to make a camera so small; The RX100 has the usual problems, 1; The image is too small to see what you are doing; If I'm taking a group, I can't judge the best moment to do the picture because I can't see their expressions, 2.

Better than anything as small, smaller than anything as good.

The Sony RX100 ii (I hate alpha-numeric product names) is not an ordinary pocket camera. Sure, it is very small, can be set for full automation and has all of those face and smile detector features that consumers like. Forget all of that, this is a serious tool, aimed at serious photographers.

Outstanding image quality; metal build; Carl Zeiss lens

Expensive; optional EVF very expensive; lens slow at long end

Bought a like new damaged packaging item

Bought a like new damaged packaging item. Flash never worked seller unresponsive. Now Camera won't work at all. Supposed to Ravenscroft warranty but does not.

Excellent results in both stills and movies for such a compact camera. Build quality is also great, grip easy to improve with the optional addon by Sony or 3rd party. However, the general Sony UI philosophy, logic and coherence or lack thereof is a big letdown.

Great compact camera, you can't go wrong with it.

Love the camera. Takes great photos and is very easy to use. We bought it to take on holidays and as a back up to my SLR but after using it i think it will be the main camera used. Would recommend to anyone.

Best camera I've ever bought, and I'm a professional photographer with quite a few SLR's. It's expensive, but I've never regretted buying it. I've taken some stupidly good photos with this camera!
