Apart from being a FM radiowith the usual features, it will play music from a variety of sources. A regular CD or an MP3 CD that you burnt yourself, or from MP3 files your put on a flash drive. You can play them sequentially or randomly, set the equalizer to the type of music you're playing. You can set the sleep mode to turn off after a designated time. Also you can Bluetooth music from your phone etc. The sound is terrific for such a smallish system, and it doesn't take up much space. Also you can use it as an alarm to wake you up with music or the radio. It has pretty much all the features you would want. Very really happy with my purchase.

This compact system really delivers on quality sound and function. It blends into the space - and over Christmas when I had the festive music playing - guests were wondering where the crisp, clear full bodied music was coming from! Perfect for my small living area. I have denied myself the joy of listening to music because I hated the big obtrusive 'boxes' of a 'portable music/CD unit that seemed to be the only choice....till I saw this!! I ordered it on line, and it was promptly delivered, with tracking updates. It could not have been easier. Go and get one of these..you will be glad you did!!!

This speaker is very good - I can play music directly from my phone or tablet using the NFC or Bluetooth function, and can listen to all of my other music and radio plays with the handy CD slot! The sound is clear and crisp (and can go quite loud), and the design is very sleek and smart. My only query is why the remote control that comes with it is not as sleek and modern looking as the device, and you have to point it directly at the device for it to work, however I don't use the remote that much so it isn't a big problem. Overall, a nice piece of kit! looks excellent in the home, and will be purchasing another one soon! (possibly the white colour).

I needed a new CD player and didn't want bulky speakers, so when I saw this unit I fell in love with it. I originally had the CMT-X5CD with DAB radio but this didn't work where I live with the aerial provided and I could only get 2 FM radio stations, so I was lucky enough to be able to exchange it for the CMT-X3CD. This has FM radio and I can get more stations and the CD player sounds great. It is really easy to play music from my phone by just touching it on the NFC button on the top and it connects automatically. I have the version labelled 'white' but it is really more like silver and looks great where I have it placed.

I wanted a smallish portable mains operated CD and Radio with built in speakers and a decent sounding power amplifier. At 10 watts r.m.s per channel, this is perfect for a small to medium sized room. You can play CDs, Radio, audio through a 3.5mm input at the back (mp3 player etc.) and via Bluetooth. My 2 smart phones both have approx. 1200 songs on each and it is very handy to connect up either one as and when I please. With remote control and a sleep timer function, it is also ideal for the bedroom for a little night time music. Also I like the shape, styling and colour of the unit. I thoroughly recommend it.
