This is a sweet machine - high quality playback of both standard and high definition, combined with elegance of design and ease of set-up and use. Sony support (in my case regarding a firmware update) was pleasantly helpful.

Touch sensitive buttons are useless. Playback freezes occasionally and when it does, you have to pull the plug out as there's no physical button to turn it off. Remote buttons click when depressed and it feels super cheap. It doesn't remember where you left off from watching DLNA video.

The dnla connectivity feature is great for viewing video, pictures from another computer. Wirelessly connect to netflex, pandora, and amazon prime or amazon video works good and easy to find content.

I have owned 5 Sony Blue Ray players over the past 5-10 years and out of the 5 this is the first replacement I have need; They work great, but as of yet I have not tried the 3-D functions

Blu-ray player reviews are a strange thing. It used to be that we tested all manner of video and audio quality characteristics using test discs and calibration gear. Well, some of us still do... When it's appropriate.

It's to early to be specific. Easy set-up, It seems very versatile & has mutiple features. Hooked right in to my music & photographs, I am already devloping playlists & reorganizing photos.
