The Sony BDP-S1500 is the company's entry-level Blu-Ray player for 2015 and includes all the essentials, plus a few extras such as Smart TV, an ethernet connection, a coaxial audio output and a super-fast start-up time of under one second. It just misses out on 3D playback and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The product is just fine. My complaint, as expressed previously, is with the lack of instructions. Why is it impossible for all you techno-wisards to simply explain which buttons to push to accomplish each goal?

Good little Blue Ray player. My only complaint is that it does not recognize a disc it left in the tray over night or if it is on pause too long so I loose my place on the disc.

My 2 year old BD player took 3 minutes to boot to disc, this is great, only a few seconds, pic and sound is on par with expensive players, only draw back is lack on connections around the back, but saying that i only use HDMI anyway so not a problem for me. 5 Stars

Purchased this at the same time as a new Sony TV. It was really easy to set up and does everything we could wish it to do. Great product and so neat and small!

Bought just two weeks ago to replace HUGE, ancient dual VHS/DVD predecessor. Not used much so far, but no problems and very simple to set-up. It's a very neat, compact device which can also be networked - although I'd advise connecting with an ethernet cable rather than via the (built-in) wireless...

Do not purchase this product. It is discontinued by the company and there no parts available for the same. My player stopped working and the reason given by the service centre is main board not working and needs to be changed and the cost of the same is close to 85% of the purchase value.

Though the product works well, the player received doesn't seem to be new. The front panel had lot of scratches and the USB port had wear marks...The packing was so poor that i was so lucky to receive it in a single piece........

I purchased this blu-ray player. After plugging it in, the blu ray required me to download the firmware update. I downloaded the firmware update, and the machine stopped working. It won't recognize the remote and does not function in any way.
