Sony A7 II review
The A7 II’s stabilisation sets it apart from every other full-frame camera on the market. For shooting handheld video, for shooting with long lenses or for shooting longer exposures in low light conditions, it’s a star. But it’s outstanding in almost all other aspects too. Like the original A7 before it, it’s a masterfully-built, well-designed camera that delivers spectacular stills and excellent video. And all in a fairly compact package, considering its capabilities. It’s not cheap (and don't forget, the price above is for the body without a lens) but if you’re seeking the best all-round system camera Sony has to offer, this is it.
Pros:
- Stellar imaging quality
- 5-axis stabilisation massively boosts handheld performance
- Top notch build quality and design
Cons:
- No 4K video option

Best in class
I don't know that a more capable videography/photography device exists in this size. The a7S is back with everything the first generation was missing (I had one). This is the ultimate low-light shooter for video and photography.
Pros:
- Now with Internal 4K
- LUTs and IBIS! Low light monster Gorgeous video and photo Small and light package Adapt lenses from almost any system ever
Cons:
- Internal recording codec could be better Menus still mostly suck Limited system lenses 12MP limits post-processing options

Sony Alpha 7S II Review
When Sony launched the Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R two years ago, the manufacturer was looking to target two different types of photographer. While the Alpha 7 was out to appeal to enthusiasts looking for a full-frame camera with an ‘all-round' level of performance, the Alpha 7R was aimed at landscape and...

Sony A7S II
The Sony A7S II takes the A7S to the next level. The redesigned camera body, improved autofocus, and bevy of new features make the A7S II a very capable full-frame mirrorless camera no matter the lighting conditions.
Pros:
- Comfortable and surprisingly compact camera body
- Improved low light performance
- Built-in image stabilization
- Wide range of usable ISOs
- More sophisticated autofocus performance
- Excellent video capabilities
Cons:
- Relatively low resolution
- Mediocre continuous shooting performance
- No built-in flash
- No losslessly compressed RAW option

Sony A7S II
The Sony A7S II is a new 35mm full-frame compact system camera with a 12.2 megapixel sensor that provides an incredible ISO range of 50-409,600 and high dynamic range. Other standout highlights of the A7S II include internal 4K video recording with full pixel readout without pixel binning in...

Sony A7S II review
After the introduction of the Sony Alpha 7 II and Sony Alpha 7R II it was only a matter of time before Sony introduced the update to the Alpha 7S, its 12Mp, low light and video-centric model which has become popular in the film and television industry.

I have owned a A7s for 18 months and love it. While I do take a lot of photographs my main interest is video. I live and travel on a sailboat and spend time in remote locations. I needed a new second camera and decided to stay with Sony. I have only used it a few days, but so far it's great.

Sony A7S II review
The A7S II is certainly more of a specialist's camera than its sibling the A7R II. I think the latter is a better all-round performer and a superior buy for the more general shooter, but if you're looking for a compact system camera that offers class-leading low light performance and...
Pros:
- Superb video quality
- Great in low light conditions
- Metal-bodied toughness
Cons:
- It's really expensive
