Great camera very poor Sony Customer Service

I purchased this camera with the offer of £300 Sony cashback. The camera itself is great and a much need upgrade on my previous Sony camera but.... beware of the cashback bit. I've spent 3 weeks with from my initial claim direct to Sony which failed online to finally getting Sony to acknowledge and...

Sony Alpha a6500

Buyers have found this mirrorless camera to be an excellent product. They have reported it to be a good backup camera for a professional, an advanced hobbyist, or a travel camera. They particularly like the in-body stabilization that compensates for hand movement and camera shake.

Touchscreen for better and immediate focus response; Compact design able to fit in a large jacket pocket easily; 11 fps continuous shooting with exposure tracking and autofocus; Color-coded menu system makes it easier to recognize and remember various parts of the menu; 2-megapixel APS-C Exmor...

Absence of touch-screen can be a hindrance; Not weather sealed which makes it inappropriate for harsh environments

Best camera I have ever owned!

Easy to use. It will take some time to learn how to Handel it. I would recommend a basic class for first timers to dslr mirrorless style. Great starter camera and excellent for advanced photographers.

Worse than expected What I am writing is relevant only for the current moment. I have G81 and A7-III and bought a6500 to use x1.5 crop for my SONY FE tele lenses. I thought that A7-III and a6500 will have a step difference in class, but really A7-III is like a First class of different Asian...

Punches above its weight

I've owned Canon DSLR's (my fallback workhorse), I've also owned an NEX5-N and an A6000, the previous Sony's although good always left me wanting to return to my Canon DSLR but the A6500 is a different beast. An amazing camera which can easily compare to much more expensive equipment.

This camera is amazing in all...

I'm very happy of: -Picture quality -Video quality -Full control for video and photo -Picture profiles (more dynamic range of s-log 2 and 3) - Slow motion with manual control and high bitrate - compact body - Internal stabilization (perfect for my Nikon prime lens) - Option to power camera with...

Used this now for a few months. Here's a little what I think. Have just taken pictures with it, not filming. + Quick Focus. Meet right with focus. 11 frames per second. Cruel image quality. Many focus points. Small in hand. Digital viewfinder that shows exactly what you get in the picture.
