Sony Alpha A6000 review
New: The Sony A6000 is one of our favourite mirrorless compact system cameras, but how does it fare against its rivals in our lab tests? Take a look at our new, updated comparison charts for resolution , dynamic range and noise results against the Fuji X-T1, Olympus OM-D E-M1 and Panasonic GX7.

I agree with the first reviewer in general. However, my priorities are quite different as I am a landscape photographer who earns a living sell prints. If you care about image quality you can hardly do better than the a6000.
Pros:
- Outstanding image quality and the ability to use a very wide variety of lenses
Cons:
- A bit awkward at first if you are new to this type of camera, but not a difficult stretch
- Build quality is not Pro level, though still quite good

Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera Review and Example Images
If the Sony A7R is a champion heavyweight in its prime, the Sony A6000 is the scrappy younger brother with a leaner frame, faster feet and a few tricks up its sleeve that big brother hasn't bothered to learn.

Sony A6000 Review
After using the Sony A6000 for a few months on two separate occasions, I can honestly say that it is one of the most capable and versatile mirrorless cameras on the market. With its compact and lightweight camera body, comfortable grip, fast and accurate hybrid autofocus system, bright and...

I wanted to ditch my DSLR and get a Mirrorless Camera. For Size mainly. I came from using the Canon 600D and I am blown away by this camera. It is really easy to use. A great 1st camera for the beginners but also for Hobbyists and Pros. The Clarity, ISO and fast Focus make for great pictures.

Sony Alpha A6000 review
The Sony A6000 is, in some respects, the older NEX-6 reincarnate. Which puts it in good stead: as far as interchangeable lens cameras go, the NEX-6 was one of our favourite small scale models with a built-in electronic viewfinder, so the Alpha A6000 arrives with high expectations.
Pros:
- Keenly priced
- built-in electronic viewfinder
- tilt-angle LCD
- great build quality
- impressive high-res image quality
- 11fps and AF-S an achievement at this price
Cons:
- Some autofocus accuracy slip-ups
- battery life needs to be better
- no touchscreen
- JPEG processing a little harsh for higher ISO sensitivities

A smash hit
Great product, easy to use and offers very good image quality. Most DSLR users will want one of these eventually. Why because its easy to get on with your work, mimics many much more expensive cameras on the market today.
Pros:
- Quality of images
Cons:
- wish it were little less money for lenses

Sony A6000 Review
With unusual cameras like the A7 and A7R, Sony's A6000 ran the risk of being overshadowed. Elevated from the NEX range to sit alongside Sony's full DSLRs with the Alpha prefix, the A6000 builds on the NEX-6 with a new 24.3-megapixel sensor and a flashy autofocus system the company claims is a...
