Definitely Worth It!

You will love it! The haptic bass certainly is a novelty and this is actually plenty powerful without it. While the haptic bass does not suit all music types as for some it rumbles a bit too much (more suited to deep bass at lower volumes) but where this haptic will really excel is for gaming or movies – gunshots & explosions… OMG so much more fun!

Skullcandy Crusher

Valued at $159.95AUD (August 2013) and available in three colours (Black, Red & White), the Skullcandy Crusher is the latest portable headphone to hit the market that target a number of key elements for the end-user.

The Skullcandy Crusher promises bass you can feel, and that's exactly what it delivers. With the bass driver turned to max, music certainly loses some of its texture; upper notes on guitars, flutes, and the like really get lost in the shuffle. And there are other bones to pick, too.

Skullcandy Crusher

As deep bass becomes increasingly easier to produce in relatively affordable headphones , companies are adding new tricks to the equation to win your interest. Beyerdynamic and Skullcandy both recently released headphones with adjustable bass sliders-but Skullcandy's Crusher, at $99.95 (direct), is...

Powerful audio output, with slider to adjust bass response; Works in passive mode, without a battery; Inline remote control and microphone for mobile devices

Bass boost goes to ridiculously high levels; AA battery required for the bass slider to work

Comfortable and amazing sound

I run long distances with them and they never get uncomfortable or cause my head to get too hot. Best sound I've ever heard in headphones, and the base is crazy - it virbates your head on the highest setting.

Skullcandy Crusher

The Skullcandy Crusher are rather unusual headphones. As well as a normal headphone driver, they use a separate subwoofer in each ear called the Sensation55, powered by an AA battery. This is designed to blast your brain with low-end power. And it sure does.

Skullcandy Crusher Headphones Review

Skullcandy brings the boom with its $99.99 Crusher headphones. Outfitted with the company's Sensation55 driver technology, which causes the cans to literally vibrate, it feels like you're walking around with a large subwoofer on your head.

Durable fame; Affordable; Adjustable vibration effect deepens bass

Frame looks a bit cheap; Bass effect can distort music at high volume

A Unique Bass Sensation: The Skullcandy Crusher

I know a lot of audiophiles will think me silly for saying so, but I like the Skullcandy Crusher. Young folks want bass and cool, new stuff, and at $99 the Crusher does a great job of delivering fun and cool without breaking the bank.

Skullcandy Crusher Review

The Skullcandy Crusher headphones offer adjustable bass you can feel. Literally. But are they worth it for non-bassheads?

Massive bass; Adjustable level of bass; Interesting gimmick

Not many features; Won't appeal to everyone
