Skullcandy Crusher Wireless Over Ear Headphones - Black S6CRW-K591 review

It’s been quite the experience using the Crusher ANC by Skullcandy. While its ANC is not bad and battery life is fine, its killer feature will be the Sensory Bass. The hiss can throw you off a bit and its ANC aren’t the strongest out there.

Skullcandy Crusher Wireless Over Ear Headphones - Black S6CRW-K591 review

“Music You Can Feel” is Skullcandys motto. And you can take that literally, because when it comes to “feeling” music, hardly any of the American Lifestyle-Companies are kidding. While others give their headphones a modern bass tuning, Skullcandy simply builds a fat subwoofer into the earcups, which...

$200 BUY NOW These headphones are all about that bass, packing in seriously deep sound you can adjust with a slider. In addition, they have a battery life of up to 40 hours , easy to reach buttons, and a comfortable foam lining over the ears.

Skullcandy Crusher Wireless Over Ear Headphones - Black S6CRW-K591 review

The Skullcandy Crusher Evo is a premium pair of headphones whose excellent audio, nuanced haptic rumble and smart design make it far more than a bone-rattling novelty.

Excellent audio; Great haptic implementation; Choice of connection options

Low level hum when using a wired connection with haptics

Skullcandy Crusher ANC Review

Skullcandy made a name for itself with cool, stylish, bass-forward headphones that all have one thing in common: a relatively affordable price. So it's safe to say we are intrigued by the Crush ANC, a $319.99 pair of noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones priced only slightly lower than the $399.95 industry-leading Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. Skullcandy's headphones feature adjustable bass response with haptic vibrations, which are undeniably cool, but the ANC simply isn't on the same level as other models in this price range. Design Available in black or dark red models, the circumaural (over-ear) headphones feature an eggshell-like finish and extensive memory foam cushioning in the earpads and the underside of the headband. Other than a small Skullcandy skull logo on either side of the headband, the design flourishes are kept to a minimum—most of the language printed on the outer panels can only be seen from up close, and at an angle, it seems to disappear. Internally, ...

The Skullcandy Crusher ANC headphones deliver seriously enhanced, adjustable bass levels with haptic feedback, but you can get stronger noise cancellation for the price.

Powerful audio performance with adjustable bass depth and haptic vibration; Solid mic clarity; Can be used passively with included audio cable

Expensive; Merely decent noise cancellation; Sound signature is far from accurate

Skullcandy Crusher Wireless Review

In 2013 we gave solid marks to the Skullcandy Crusher, wired headphones that require AA batteries to deliver their, well, crushing bass response. The Skullcandy Crusher Wireless headphones, at $199, devote just as much time and energy to a massive bass sound, but ditch the AA batteries in favor of a rechargeable design, and swap the 3.5mm audio jack for Bluetooth connectivity. The headphones still employ what Skullcandy refers to as "dual-channel haptic bass," which means they literally vibrate with deep lows according to what's being pushed through the channel. Audio purists can stop reading now, but if you're a big bass lover, you can carry on, tempered with the knowledge that even you are likely to find the potential bass levels here to be too strong at times. Design Available in matte black, the circumaural (over-ear) Crusher Wireless offer an exceptionally comfortable fit, with memory foam earpads and a well-cushioned headband. The earcups fully envelop the ear and even offer...

Skullcandy's Crusher Wireless headphones deliver Bluetooth audio with adjustable bass, but even low-end lovers may find the levels too much to handle.

Powerful sound signature with massive low-end presence; Customizable bass levels with adjustable slider; Includes cable (with inline remote control) for passive listening

Bass can go far too high, even for those who like it; Control panel make sit easy to accidentally skip tracks
