I bought this use in the Bitfenix Prodigy and it fit with no issue. It is quiet and is well made. As other noted I do wish it came with the option for the short cable kit or standard without having to buy it extra.

Small, quiet, powerful enough for a beefy ITX build. Added some cable extenders due to my case size but a normal ITX build shouldn't have any issues. Recommend silverstone PSUs as I now run 3 (means I can use my spare modular cables across all of them). And as always PB tech service is amazing!
Having purchased the aerocool DS cube case for my first system build, I was in serious need of a small, yet powerful 80+ gold psu. This is the smallest I could find! The cables are not braided, they are the flat style with easily enough flexibility for cable management and have enough of the...
The SilverStone Strider Gold series of power supplies are available in wattages ranging from 550W to 1200W. I'll be reviewing the two latest in this series, the 550W & 650W. These two power supplies come with a quite 120mm fan, are compact, 80+ Plus certified, 3 year warranty & 100% modular.
This was a great move by silverstone: the market for compact, high-output fully modular PSUs is virtually un-tapped. I do wish they shipped with the 'short cable' kit instead of the standard one, though as anyone who is buying a compact PSU such as this is likely in a small case.
Extremely compact; Pretty much the only choice if you're building a gaming rig into a Fractal Node 304 case; Can't even hear the fan; Fully modular AND leaves room for large cards (in my case); Power fed to a Haswell i7, 16GB PC2400 RAM, Asus Impact!, and GTX Titan is more than adequate

The SilverStone ST1500-GS is one of just a few power supplies we have seen over the years that is in the 1500W and up category. It is, however, the second such unit that we have seen from SilverStone and the previous unit that we saw from SilverStone was a very good unit for its time.
Within the last decade we've seen the 80Plus certification become a widely accepted standard and further expanded into Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels as efficiency improves.
It's been a little while since I looked at a unit from Silverstone, but that's going to change today. Silverstone's updating their venerable Strider series with a new line of units that offer 80 Plus Gold efficiency and yet still manage to end up being fully modular in a housing with less depth than...
The SilverStone Strider Gold 650 W is not a bad power supply, with great voltage regulation and very good efficiency if you pull up to 80% of its labeled wattage. The fully modular cabling system is also a plus.
SilverStone, who is one of the premier power supply and case manufacturers in the industry, has released another power supply in their award winning Strider series. The new model has an 850 watt rating, fitting nicely in with the others that range from 750 to 1200 watts, all of which possessing the...
