The SilverStone Strider Gold 1200W power supply delivers good efficiency with clean DC outputs and good voltage regulation. Under normal operating conditions the power supply is very quiet.

The SilverStone Strider Gold series of power supplies are available in wattages ranging from 550W to 1200W. I'll be reviewing the two latest in this series, the 550W & 650W. These two power supplies come with a quite 120mm fan, are compact, 80+ Plus certified, 3 year warranty & 100% modular.

The SilverStone Strider Gold 650 W is not a bad power supply, with great voltage regulation and very good efficiency if you pull up to 80% of its labeled wattage. The fully modular cabling system is also a plus.

This was a great move by silverstone: the market for compact, high-output fully modular PSUs is virtually un-tapped. I do wish they shipped with the 'short cable' kit instead of the standard one, though as anyone who is buying a compact PSU such as this is likely in a small case.

I bought this use in the Bitfenix Prodigy and it fit with no issue. It is quiet and is well made. As other noted I do wish it came with the option for the short cable kit or standard without having to buy it extra.
