Superbly sharp and well made lens!
I ordered this lens with the Sigma USB dock due to worrying about the focus being out of calibration after reading forums talking about this. As it turns out there was no need to worry at all. Focus is spot on on a Nikon D750 SLR body.
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Durable
- Quick Focus
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction
Cons:
- Not weather sealed

Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art
A f/1.4 lens is meant to be used wide open at least sometimes (otherwise an f/2.8 lens is sure to be cheaper, lighter, and just as good). This one does meet expectations. Images shot wide open are pretty sharp already, and above all very "clean".
Pros:
- Sharpness
- low aberrations
- close focus
- contrast
- good working against the light
Cons:
- MF not that nice
- AF precise but slow
- size and weight of course

I bought this lens 2 months ago and have 3 other wide angle lenses that rate in the top of all reviews . I have had a lot of lenses, and with time, I just keep 3 for my D800: One of those is this Sigma 24/1,4. The two others are the new Nikon 300/4 and the traditional Nikon 105 macro, but with this 24 art, sigma is to my point of view at the same level as Nikon, and much less expensive.

Seems to have much better focus than mc-11 adapted canon mount version I have

Sigma has another winner on its hands with the 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Art. It delivers crisp images, even at its widest apertures, and it's certainly capable of capturing images with a shallow depth of field when shooting at f/1.4, especially at close focus distances.
Pros:
- Sharp from edge to edge
- Minimal distortion
- Wide aperture
- 9.8-inch close focus
- Full-frame coverage
- Available for multiple camera systems
Cons:
- Noticeable fall-off at f/1.4 and f/2
- May require focus adjustment via USB Dock
