I just started playing and only got through the first case. There are new challenges with the controllers and the first case was good. It was a little difficult to make the connection to solve it even though the answers were obvious. Overall as good as the first one so far.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter Review

Despite some engaging storylines and well-designed environments, fails to deliver any sense of actually playing the part of Sherlock. Its gameplay is too rigid and predictable, and at times comes across as too technically underdeveloped to ever wow or amaze.

Detailed; evocative visuals; Intriguing storylines

Rigid; restrained investigations; Underdeveloped action sequences; Unacceptable load times

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter (PlayStation 4) Review

In Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter , players take on the role of the eponymous detective. Essentially, the goal of the game is to solve a handful of cases. This means exploring the streets of London, visiting crime scenes, gathering clues, interrogating suspects, and forming conclusions based...

Sherlock Holmes : The Devil's Daughter Review – PlayStation 4

At it's core, Frogwares' Sherlock series has always been rooted in the adventure genre. I've always had an interest in the long-running line of titles, but never had a chance to fully experience one until now.

Positives + Beautiful world design; + Engaging detective-based game play

Negatives - Design and budget limitations that affect the overall presentation; - Obtuse game play, often at the worst moments possible

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is the latest of Frogwares' Sherlock games and it's certainly an improvement on some of the previous ones (I'm looking at you Creepy Watson).

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter

The Sherlock Holmes series from Frogwares has slowly but surely gained recognition over the years, thanks to a gradual improvement from chapter to chapter. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter follows the same path, improving several elements of its predecessor, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes &...

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter PS4 Review

Having never played a Sherlock game before, I was curious to know how one would actually handle. Now I'm no avid fan of the worlds most famous consulting detective, but Frogwares have dealt with Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter with much more pride than Artefacts Studios did with their attempt...

Stuck!

The game starts well. You can skip hard bits. But. Epping Forrest hunt is very impossible to get through. I keep letting killed and can't skip it. I bought this game because I don't like shooting games. I've been shot and killed 32 times in Epping Forrest!

A step back from its predecessor

Not as good as the previous installment (crimes and punishments). Very short and uninspired regular cases including basic puzzles. Nevertheless, the gameplay is still working great (glancing at people in order to find clues, reconstruct the course of events, etc.) and its an easy platinum.
