At it's core, Frogwares' Sherlock series has always been rooted in the adventure genre. I've always had an interest in the long-running line of titles, but never had a chance to fully experience one until now.

Having never played a Sherlock game before, I was curious to know how one would actually handle. Now I'm no avid fan of the worlds most famous consulting detective, but Frogwares have dealt with Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter with much more pride than Artefacts Studios did with their attempt...

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is the latest of Frogwares' Sherlock games and it's certainly an improvement on some of the previous ones (I'm looking at you Creepy Watson).

I just started playing and only got through the first case. There are new challenges with the controllers and the first case was good. It was a little difficult to make the connection to solve it even though the answers were obvious. Overall as good as the first one so far.

The game is set up just like the last one: Crimes & Punishments. I am on the 4th case and enjoying the game so far. It has a little more action than Crimes and Punishments (which is a good thing) but the deductions and clues interface is still there. And the US continues to not release this on PS4.

The game starts well. You can skip hard bits. But. Epping Forrest hunt is very impossible to get through. I keep letting killed and can't skip it. I bought this game because I don't like shooting games. I've been shot and killed 32 times in Epping Forrest!

Sherlock Holmes The Devil's Daughter like Crimes and Punishments delivers a different gaming experience from the usual game these. It is a game that can be played with friends too, as the plot is ultimately in your hands.

Not as good as the previous installment (crimes and punishments). Very short and uninspired regular cases including basic puzzles. Nevertheless, the gameplay is still working great (glancing at people in order to find clues, reconstruct the course of events, etc.) and its an easy platinum.
